There are a few pros and cons staying here, but overall, it isn't worth the price they ask for. ||The location to the tram and the Debrecen University is great. I can just walk to the local Interspa, bakery and Co-op to buy food, snacks and drinks. The tram to the town centre is just down the road. The rooms are bright and clean.||||The hotel provides a breakfast option which is 1000Ft which is just a cold breakfast containing yoghurt, cereal, cheese, ham, bread and tea. If you decide to stay for more than two days, you should buy these items from the local grocery store which will work out much cheaper. Store this in your room fridge but make sure you turn it on and check that it works when you get into the room as I had to move rooms because of this. ||||Unfortunately there are no mugs, hot drinks nor kettle in the bedrooms so you will have to walk down to the basement/dining area for hot water and mugs, cutlery etc. ||||There is no lift either so the luggage will have to be taken up yourself through 3 flights of stairs. ||||Again the wifi is another con here. It doesn't work in any of the rooms. You will have to return to the basement to send emails, use Instagram, Twitter etc. ||||The walls are very thin. This is true. So you may hear the person next door snoring like I did! Also there are dogs in each of the three gardens overlooked by the hotel and they bark quite some bit.||||The pros here are that half of the staff in general are friendly and willing to help but they don't seem to be lenient on you if you check out after 11am. They speak simple English so try to learn Hungarian while you're there too! I had numerous problems staying here and frankly, it wasn't worth the...
Read moreWe stayed here just for one night, but I think that this hotel was worth the price. Hotel is in quiet and very beautiful part of city and is easy to find it. ||The room was very small but clean and also shower was clean. We had fresh towels, too. Breakfast was tasty and continental. There was enough food at any time you came to eat because they were still bringing new food there. The staff was helpful, they spoke English very good. Parking is outside the hotel in the hotel garden.||The area around hotel was very nice and peaceful. We were on the dog show so we chosed this hotel because pets were allowed here. For one night it was good choice and if I am back in Debrecen I would go back...
Read moreIf you relish living in the middle of a dog kennel, Nadix is the place for you. The whole||night consisted of constantly barking dogs from the surrounding houses. Closing the windows was of no help as we were then exposed to loud snoring by the neighbor through the paperthin walls. Given the fact that the floors consist totally of tiles any noise||made can clearly be heard through the whole hotel. Since there is no elevator we had to lug forty kilos of luggage to our room three flights up. One night was one too many and we left early next morning. Any positive comments? Yes, the breakfast was hearty and well prepared, staff friendly and helpful as...
