Negatives: very limited parking spaces. Hard to find any parking space. It was 1st of January when we decided to spend 3 hours in the Aquaticum. It was difficult to find the entry as not properly signed. When we went to this place the cashier asked if we want to stay 2 hours or more. Well two hour is nothing for a Spa so decided the second option. We had to pay after one adult and two children 11, 16 y old 9600 HUF just to get in. The toilet upstairs was dirty and the door handle fallen off. The staff in the restaurant was very unfriendly and absolutely zero food was in the desk storages. It is not like a Mediterran restaurant but like an Ethiopian restaurant. The. We went to the thermal part of the Spa. No signs we had to ask the staff to tell us the way. On that place there was no light on the corridor or was pitch dark and I had no idea where we are going to. Some people in the reviews called this atmosphere. It is not atmospheric if I need to walk down on a pitch dark stairs to something what is hopefully thermal water. On the old part of the Spa the roof was leaking, dirty water running from the roof straight to the pools. Dirty water marks on the walls too. Outside it was not any better either. The building seen better days and the water had some objects swimming in the water. We decided to drink two alcohol free beers and a small bottle of ice tea. We paid 18050 Ft for three hour without any food without any saunas. This place is a massive rip off. Beware it is designed to take your money for a very small service. We been in Egerszalok two days before and we paid less than half for a full night spa with all saunas and full services included. I do not recommend this...
Read moreWe spent almost the whole day there. Thermal spa is fabulous, for this experience you need an extra ticket or a surcharge to normal ticket to the aquacenter, but it is worth the price. Personnel speaks English, so if you are not local, you won't be lost. Food was acceptable for a fast food, good enough to survive the whole day, They resupply only once a day, in the morning, so in the afternoon you may not find what you like. There are several entertainments - sea waves, tobogans, etc. Be careful of the orange tobogan - it will shake you really hard in the end of the track, the worse the faster you slide. I especially admire their chip system, the best one I have ever seen so far - the chip not only opens your locker, but you can use it for payments - without the need for the initial charge (works like a credit card, not as prepaid card). You will pay the balance on exit. God job, guys! The only drawback of this place is the stupid underground garage (mélygarázs) nearby, where you need to pay cash, cannot use card. Could parking payment be integrated into the spa service charge? That would really help. (P.S. the tall tobogans have ride timers. My best time was 12.35s in the yellow tobogan and 11.44s in the orange one. Can...
Read moreWe came back this year as well and everything I stated in the initial review still stands, but i gotta say that the food is just the worst. Maybe in the future they could work on the quality of the menu because it seems like it is getting worst.
We have had an amazing time here.
The thermal baths were my favorites, but my husband really enjoyed the water slides 😁
They have about 6 indoor thermal pools, varying from 20-40 degrees. The outside thermal pool was my favorite, tho.
For the waterslides, they have a variety of waterslides (about 7) both high and low in the Mediterranean section.
The staff was really nice and helpful and there was no wait. We visited on a Thursday, so maybe it would be busier during the weekends.
The bar near the outside pool was a big plus. Maybe the food could be a little more diverse.
There was only one sauna available, but we ended up not going for that option because it was a no bathing suit one. Maybe they will grow the sauna world in the future.
Everything was clean and tidy and we loved it really much. Will come back when the outside waterpark is available, for now...
