This is a small pension in a lovely wooded setting about 1/2 km from a lake and national park in the village of Lillafured, just outside the city of Miskolc. We reserved two two-bedroom suites for 7 of us, and the rooms were very small and some members of our group found their rooms dirty and their linens smelling of mildew. No bath towels were in the rooms, but they provided them upon request. We had booked two nights, but opted to depart after one. Even though they had asked for a two night minimum stay, they did not argue at all when we said it was not up to our standards. Also, they do not accept credit cards, so it was necessary to pay in cash. Luckily, there is an ATM about 1/4 km walk from this hotel.||||What was nice about the place, though, was that they had a ping pong table and we all took turns playing, including my 87 year old mother.||||We had hoped for better, and it looks nice in the photos on their website, but unfortunately, Ozon Panzio did not live up to our expectations.||||Interestingly, around dusk there was a power outage. The hotel staff told us that all of Lillafured was affected, but the power came back on after...
Read moreWe stayed at Ozon Panzio in May 2013 to get some R&R in the heart of Lillafüred and we were very satisfied with the accommodations.||The room itself and the bathroom were clean and fairly nice, the bed was comfortable and the window faced a small stream which - along with the lush green surroundings - made the overall atmosphere really tranquil, perfect for a bit of piece and quiet. TV and fridge were provided.||We were housed in the building where the jacuzzi is, which has a nice rustic look to it.||Should you want to use the jacuzzi itself, you have to book it in advance. ||The spa section (with the jacuzzi and infra sauna) had a good feel to it and a nice view from the jacuzzi, although the water temperature was a bit lacking.||The breakfast was pretty basic but tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly.||Ozon Panzio is right across from the Szent Istvan cave to which they offered us complimentary entrance.||The is a bus stop right across the street and you can get as far as the city center of Miskolc.||Overall a nice stay, would...
Read moreIt's calm, very green, and it's quiet despite the close proximity of the road. Parking is great. The rooms are clean, and looking fresh. Most programmes are within walking distance. The common dining room has no ventillation.
The lack of usable WiFi was really a headache for us, as the kids couldn't use their devices to entertain themselves while we were trying to rest.
There's is no air conditioning, but it's usually not necessary even in the summer, as it's in a humid valley. Though the humidity could make the atmosphere steamy if it gets hot. The shower was broken in our room, and the receptionist seemed helpless, and we had and issue with a raid of wasps. And the only way to handle spilling water in the bathroom was by a mop that was falling apart, and a bucket that couldn't really bear the pressure on...
