We spend here 3 nights with a whole family. We took 2 rooms, both with a balcony (all rooms have one). |One was a double room with an AC, but with two single beds put together. The room actually had a little space next to the beds to hangout. DO GET the room with an AC or your room will be like a sauna all the time, no kidding. You can get the AC remote at reception for a deposit of 5000 huf. |The other room was a 3-bed-room with NO space at all and no AC. We weren't able to even open the balcony door without moving the beds around a bit. They basically just added one bed to the double room. |Both of the bathrooms were older but clean, everyone got towels but no little shower gel or shampoo as it is usual. |However the staff was friendly and even when not all of them spoke English they tried to help and the reception is open 24/7. |The location of the hotel is probably the best thing about it. It's close to the city center with many bars, restaurants and stands where everyone can find a place they like. There is a little supermarket like 50m from the hotel and a really good ice cream place right opposite to the hotel. |The beach at the hotel is a grass-beach but it's okay. You can find some sand-beaches as well, but we didn't look for them. The hotel has its own pool that is older but clean. Also there is a bar at the lobby of the hotel you can use. |The breakfast is a buffet style where you can choose from a lot of things, yet I was missing fruits. But overall breakfast wasn't bad at all. |Wifi is free and should be in the whole hotel, but don't rely on it, didn't work for me most of the time. |You have to keep in mind, that Siofok as a summer destination is popular since the 1960s, most of the hotels were built in that time and were not renovated in a bigger way since than. My mom actually said she is glad, we can see how it all looked like when she was there as a child.|It was not a bad stay, since I'm more concerned about traveling itself than the accommodation, but I'd probably look for some other...
Read moreWe have stayed 3 nights in this hotel. We got the most amazing service from the receptionist Sz. G. He was always smiling, joking and helped in every way he could.||The secret of this hotel lies in the own beach. That alone worth every Forint.||You can rent water bicycles, sun umbrellas on the beach. Enjoy an amazing outdoor massage. Have a drink in the bar. Eat your breakfast on the terrace.||The breakfast selection was large, the only thing missing was fruit which was kind of strange since Hungary is famous for their tasty fruits.||The rooms have their own balcony but the but start here. Be prepared for no aircon. There is a mosquito net on the door so that was a relief.||No washing line to hang your bathing stuff, no soap and no beach towels. The room was poorly cleaned although we have met the floor maid later and turned out she was so upset that her standing did such a poor job and helped us whatever we needed.||Great plus that the room has a fridge so we could just pack it with water bought 50 ms from the hotel. Right opposite the hotel is the most amazing hand-crafted ice-cream place. Do not miss out on that.||So if you can stand some dirt in the room, you will have the most amazing beach experience. |We have also used and enjoyed the pool. Not new but clean and looked after.|There is also a sauna, free for guests.||The hotel is a in a convenient distance from the worst of the night-life noise but still close to the action.||There is a parking lot belonging to the hotel which you can book. Wifi is not working anywhere really but who cares. Enjoy Balaton or take a trip with the boat to Balatonfured if the weather is not so nice! ||Will...
Read moreI was here with a friend because of a concert. We just needed a place to sleep at and with at least breakfast.||The room was little with a bed, a very old TV, furnishing was old and needs mending. The bathroom was disappointing. There was mold all around the wall. Flushing the toilet was a wake-up call, it was so loud. I think you could hear any flushing toilets on the floor.||Our room was on the 9th floor and going up and down was not too easy. Out of 3 elevators only 2 was working on our first 2 days, on the 3rd day there was only 1 available.||The view from the balcony however, was amazing! All the trouble was worth the view. The hotel has a private beach which is a great advantage. The also have a bar on the ground floor, mixing quite good cocktails for acceptable prices.||Breakfast was lovely, they had nice fried eggs and mini sausages, good bakery goods, fruits, vegetables, fresh juice and good coffee. There wasn't a wide range but fair enough.||Dinner is the same: not a wide range, but fair enough. But for dinner there was no drink available, unless you pad for it.||Check-in and check-out was fast and easy (had to pay at check-in but it's okay). The receptionists were nice and helpful. All the other staff members we met were cheerful, nice and polite.||All in all I think this is a good place for one or two nights if you're not sensitive to the things above. They had good food, good coffee and acceptable prices. I can see the potential in this hotel, it is at a very good location with good possibilities, it just...
