I’d like to share my impressions about the “Lido” hotel in which I stayed for one night during my last trip in September 2018.|| Our group had the late arrival to Siófok so we wanted to check in as fast as possible to have a rest in our room. The whole check in procedure was quite fast and lite and our room was very nice and clean. We had all the necessary things that should be in each hotel room and we had really spectacular view from our room. The room was isolated from noise very well and there weren’t any noises outside, cause the street on which this hotel was situated was quite sleepy.|| In the morning we woke up early and were starwing, so we went downstairs to the dining room to have a breakfast. Dining room was huge and full of light , cause walls were made of glass and there was an amazing garden around it. We had all you can eat service with awesome choice of food that was really delicious, so we enjoyed our meal completely.|| After the breakfast we went outside and saw that the hotel is actually situated on the shore of the incredibly beautiful lake Balaton. Furthermore we saw swans that were swimming near to the shore and gulls that were flying around. We were just sitting on the lounge chairs and enjoying our awesome warm morning!|| All of these unforgettable moments in Siofok that were in my trip on that day I’ll remember...
Read moreEven though my family and I liked our stay in the hotel, we give it 3 stars. Everything in the hotel was so-so. The breakfast room was not large enough for the amount of guests. We had to wait every morning for about 5-10 minutes in front of a closed door, waiting till someone let us in. The breakfast itself was decent. The bread selection was not that extensive and the coffee was not good, but everything was tasty overall and refilled quickly when it ran out.
The rooms were very small and housekeeping was not that competent. Maintenance was not on point. It was ok for now, but if they continue to let it slide for longer, the condition of the rooms will decrease massively.
The location of the hotel was superb. Directly on the shore of the lake with a private beach. The beach itself was ok. There were way too less sunbeds. The grass was not watered at all. The neighboring hotels had nice green beaches, but Lido’s beach had dead, brown grass for the most part. In the corner was a big pile of broken sunbeds.
All in all my family and I don’t know if we will be coming back. We did enjoy our stay, but we need to consider the list of pros and cons to be able to decide if we will come back. It isn’t ruled out, but we do not have an overwhelming feeling that we...
Read moreDangerous, dirty and antigenic place. The room was filled with spiders and spider webs everywhere so we slept in fear of getting bitten. Our mosquito door was closed all the time so basically the spiders had been there for ages. They just don't clean the rooms (in the photos you can see spiders hanging from the ceiling, spider webs behind the tv and on the curtains). The receptionist was so unprofessional and impolite that it was pointless to ask for a change of room or proper cleaning. The whole place looks like a -1 star hostel instead of a 3 star hotel and we are asking for a full refund as we were charged to sleep in a spider nest. You can see all this in the photos attached. The facilities were very poor, there were broken hooks in the toilet, they gave us our room number in a ripped paper (extremely unprofessional), the lift was full of vulgar papers stuck to the mirror and there was no electric power for some time, etc. A complete nightmare. This place should be banned by law as they don't clean it (even by minimum decent standards), it's dangerous for sleeping in and it's shocking that Booking.com has any business with them. Do not pay for this, there are several other...
