The shack/restaurant is located right on the beach and is one of the best places to eat in Agonda. The service is good and their staff is very sweet and helpful, especially Hitesh and Noorbu. The food is mostly delicious baring one or two dishes which were not up to the mark. The toilets are ok, they can be maintained better. They accept cash, cards and UPI payments. They charge 2% extra if you wish to pay using a credit card.
What we had:
1 - Mushroom and cheese omelette – Its awesome…it has generous quantity of mushroom and is served with butter and toast (2 pcs).
Pro tip – Ask them not to fine chop the mushrooms and instead use bigger chunks, it adds a great deal to the eating experience.
2 – Nutella pancakes – They call it a pancake but it’s more like crepes. They are delicious no doubt.
3 – French fires/finger chips – good one, must try.
Pro tip – They generally serve French fries with tomato ketchup but if you request they will serve them with mayonnaise as well.
4 – Shakshouka breakfast – This isn’t a Shakshouka. Period…Its just fried eggs served with sauted vegetables, toast and hummus. It tastes ok but wouldn’t hurt if you give it a miss.
5 – Chicken fried rice and Chicken chilly – This is a must have, specially the chicken chilly…We LOVED IT!!!
6 - Chicken schnitzel – This was AWESOME. The chicken was fried to perfection and served with cucumber tomato salad, French fries and hummus.
7 – King fish curry with rice – This was ok, the fried fish was good but the fish in the curry tasted funny. You won’t be missing a lot if you don’t order this.
8 – Cold coffee – Nothing extravagant, just normal cold coffee.
Conclusion – It is a lovely place to chill by the beach, has an awesome view and good customer service. We recommend this, do give this place a try if you are in or around...
Read moreI’ve been fortunate to travel to many of India’s beaches but it’s the allure of Agonda to which I’ve returned to this year for the 8th time. It simply succeeds where others fail in is its proud boast of retaining its village identity. I came to the Saxony beach huts last year for the first time & was blown away by what was on offer. Most of all my beach hut accommodation overlooked the spectacular Arabian Sea. This time I came with friends,I opted to stay in their newly opened garden huts. Although the essence is still Saxony it’s a completely different vibe. Just a minute from beach life, when you walk through its gates you’re instantly struck by the peaceful ambiance. Surrounded by exotic trees my hut was spacious & clean. The gardens also house a yoga & meditation practice which my pal ( who is a qualified yoga teacher) assured me that this was one she felt suited her, high praise for there are many practices on offer here. As I wrote before the main stars of the Saxony experience are Teddy & his friendly staff. No request is too big or small. There’s a lot of eateries on offer but we found ourselves having breakfast, lunch & dinner in the restaurant simply because the food is so good & tasty. Between the 4 of us we have eclectic tastes which the comprehensive menu more than caters for. Don’t get me started on the cocktails. See for yourself!|Whether you want the roar of the ocean or the peaceful tranquility of the gardens it’s all here. The...
Read moreWe returned for a 3rd time to Saxony with 5 other mates in tow. 3 stayed in the beach huts which offer spectacular views of the Arabian Sea. The rest of us stayed in the serenity & peaceful huts of their garden village. Which also boasts a vegan & vegetarian restaurant serving up delicious & exciting dishes in a beautiful twinkling atmosphere.|One of the reasons for returning to Saxony is its charm. This is mainly due to Teddy & his team. You can have a quiet holiday or something a bit more lively as their ‘Reggae on the Beach proved’. The singer had a capacity crowd up on their feet & dancing the night away. There are a lot of eateries in Agonda to choose from but Saxony’s compression menu offers something for everyone. We really didn’t have to look much further. We were all agreed on numerous occasions ‘our compliments to the chef’. |Saxony is in a great location & offers some beautiful views of Agonda beach. The staff are great with kids as proved by delighted parents. This is the perfect place to stay wether you be a family, a couple or lone traveler.|Thanks to all in Saxony for...
