This is my second time staying at Agonda Sunset in 3 years and each time it was 4 days.
Agonda Sunset is a stunning beachfront property located in the serene and picturesque village of Agonda in South Goa.
The property is perfectly situated on the beach, providing breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The rooms are just what you need - utilitarian - The amenities provided are excellent, with everything from air conditioning to complimentary Wi-Fi and daily housekeeping services.
Just like to mention that - only Jio is stable network across Agonda stretch, otherwise Vi and Airtel are limited to very few places.
One of the standout features of Agonda Sunset is its exceptional staff. The team is warm, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests you may have.
The property also boasts an excellent restaurant that serves a variety of delicious Goan and international cuisines. The food was always fresh and flavorful, and the service was prompt and attentive. And each item they serve is exceptional in its own way and its just amazing how they do it from that small kitchen.
In terms of location, Agonda Sunset is perfectly situated for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The beach is pristine, quiet, and uncrowded, making it the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. We were also able to spot a Dolphin. And you should be able to catch a wonderful sunset from the property.
You should be able to get boats taking you into the sea, you can hire kayaks and also surf boards over the beach. There are also a few local shops and restaurants within walking distance. You will get two wheeler and for 4 wheeler it is difficult. You should be able to find parking spot for 4 wheeler but not guaranteed. There is a convenience store right in front of the property.
Infrequent power cuts but thats with every property on the stretch i beleive and they do put on a generator within 5 minutes.
Overall, I highly recommend Agonda Sunset for anyone looking for a budget friendly and peaceful holiday in Goa. The property's stunning location, basic amenities, and outstanding staff make it an ideal choice for anyone looking to unwind and relax in paradise.

Read moreGood: The location Fair: The food Poor: The service and attitude of my waiter who refused to tell his name (The tallest and thinnest among all, with a fake English accent). As a domestic as well as a local Goan guest, I felt violated. I observed the waiter giving a PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT TO FOREIGN NATIONAL GUESTS and had distinct arrogant behaviour towards me, for no apparent reason. I am saying this after observing this waiter's service over the 3 days of my stay at the adjoining resort, named Oasis, which doesn't have a restaurant. Also, I visited your place thrice. It's a pity that your staff too was familiar with his behaviour and didn't approve of it. The rest of them were polite to me. This happened 2 days back. I voiced my issue with the in-charge of the restaurant, who understood me, hence the 2 stars instead of just 1, for how I was treated. This particular waiter was unapologetic and audacious till the end. He said sorry just for the heck of it, because his senior was present next to him. This guy refused to arrange a table next to the beach bed where I was supposed to lie down and order something. He gave me no reason. I confirmed with the rest of your staff that there was no such rule at your place. Besides, of course, I saw it first hand that this waiter complied to the request of foreigner guests, who were staying at the same resort as mine. They were certainly not shunned away the way I was. Somehow, I even observed that they were allowed to borrow a beach bed while they ordered nothing. I was right there, watching from my...
Read moreLocated right on the stunning Agonda Beach in South Goa, India, Agonda Sunset Hotel offers a mix of charm and inconvenience. The hotel's prime selling point is its proximity to the beach, with upstairs rooms providing picturesque views of the coastline.
However, while the cabana-style downstairs rooms offer a cute and shaded retreat, they come with their drawbacks. The lack of insulation means noise from the nearby bar and kitchen can disturb guests, especially late at night. Additionally, all rooms suffer from basic amenities and lower-quality furnishings, with hot water availability being inconsistent.
Nevertheless, the standout feature of Agonda Sunset Hotel is undoubtedly its exceptional staff. Their attentive service, including daily beach setups with chairs and umbrellas, adds a personal touch to the stay.
The on-site restaurant impresses with its array of delicious dishes and drinks, providing a satisfying culinary experience. The hotel's location proves advantageous, offering beautiful sunsets and excellent swimming conditions, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere.
Moreover, the surrounding area boasts numerous dining options and shops, providing guests with plenty of exploration opportunities.
In summary, while Agonda Sunset Hotel offers a superb location and outstanding service, its accommodation falls short in terms of comfort and amenities. However, for travelers seeking a beachfront retreat with attentive staff and culinary delights, it remains a viable option...
