Hi viewers, hope this review would help you understand what you would feel in prior after my experience and the hotel team and owner should definitely change their attitude to keep up the business, first and foremost thing is the hotel has too many mosquitoes , as soon as we open the door n switch on the lights we could literally see the mosquitoes population like anything, for this the hotel management people is not taken much acceptable measures( it's know fact told by the receptionist Mr. Lakshman) he openly told me on call that whole city is of mosquitoes and no water in the TB river so past few months there are too many mosquitoes, then my question was what measure have you guys taken? Hello has no answer and told that if you are interested you can book the hotel else it's your wish we don't force you and cannot lie that there are no mosquitoes.( Attitude of him was- no need of customers he just gets his money like that because the owner is full on profit i guess ) infact we had booked the hotel yesterday night and they told to vacate next day by 12.30 by calling us we were not aware of it.. the reception people are telling that they told us, just seeing the service boy we could not talk much there , we requested him that we will stay till 5pm and pay 1000rs they denied they wanted 2k , we denied as 3600rs was too high price when we took the room and vacated.. The people over there is not taking care of the so called 3 star hotel and I wonder what the owner is doing without having knowledge about all these stuffs.. if the owner not taking all these low rating reviews and staff continuing with the same attitude then definitely one day comes where they have to close the hotel ABODE. Secondly , the scenario When we have to go to room with service boy ,the room was full of mosquitoes and they were in kettle, and in bathroom commode and no soap no bathroom usage items though charging 3600rs. Kettle was rusted inside , I forgot to take picture of it while coming.. AC was not working good, no cooling , mosquitoes were not reduced at all though the ac was on , we had to switch on the fan and it's speeding regulator is so worse only at 5th speed limit it's rotating like the hub of helicopter and when reduced it's very slow still we were feeling humid. No response immediately after feeling all these to them by then we realised not to call them as they r least bother to take care of customers , it shows how the owner has trained the staff over there.. my review is not first past few years many people has given review still there is no change as I saw yesterday and today.. I saw the reviews of the hotel today evening then I came to know many people felt bad about the hotel then decided to call them and ask all the mentioned review points, after doing so i came to know they are not bothered about review nor the customer pain while writing the review and the pain/irritation felt in their hotel ABOBE , i dont understand why devasthanam has permitted them to stay? are they giving fund to the temple? ( If so then they have to keep swamy's photo or His murthy in hotel) There is nothing such.. they don't even tell about what are included in they hotel like about the room minimum accessories and also about the electric vehicle that drop us to the temple premises it was very sad, we usually go by bare foot to temple , we were struggle to fetch auto and then left by walking around 10am it was very sunny, they did not even bother about our pain by taking the high charge and not providing the stuffs which was available in their hotel..people over temple who sell flowers coconut and tender coconut people tell the needy people or even for us when we drink coconut water and phone did not work and did not had money or the people coming to us to apply gandha tilak , when we tell we don't have change the person today told me it's okay you apply i think it's service to GOD RAGHAVENDRA SWAMY , i felt so heart touched by the person.. some rich are becoming richer( money wise), poor are still poor(rich humanity...

We reached the hotel at 7pm. After the checking in formalities, we thought we will have a cup of coffee/tea at the so called ’in house’ restaurant Aahaar at 7:30 pm. When we went and asked, we were told “ tea/coffee is not available after 7 pm”. We were really flabbergasted by this news! I mean, it’s not like we asked chai in the middle of the night! After getting to know that there is no Chai, we ordered Idly which was really bad! The staff who work there speak only Hindi! They don’t understand Kannada or Telugu. They must be at least one person who speaks or at least understands the local languages. The restaurant gave me the bill, I told them to add it in the room and they told “ No sir, hotel is separate. This restaurant is separate, you will have to pay now only” This was really frustrating. I made the payment and went to the reception and told them why there is no option to add restaurant bill to the hotel and I was given the same answer “hotel is separate, restaurant is separate” Basically, the hotel and the restaurant share the same compound. But the hotel and the restaurant are two separate buildings. Not the same. Just for marketing purposes and to fool customers, they have mentioned that they have a restaurant.
Next day morning, we got up at 6:30 am and called to order Chai. But guess what!? We were told Coffee and tea will be available only after 7:30 Am. Luckily we had a flask. I had to go and get tea from the opposite tea stall in the morning. We then went for Darshan.
We came back to the hotel at 2:30 PM. So, now we thought we will order Chai and get it this time as it’s not after 7:30 PM and also it is after 7:30 AM. But, guess what!? We were told tea/coffee is not available from 12:00 pm to 4:30 PM. We didn’t know if we should cry or laugh with this coffee/tea issue.
Before going for Darshan again in the afternoon we complained to the reception about the service provided. The guy in the front desk was first not agreeing. As we were discussing this in front of the reception, others were seeing this. So, the guy agreed to serve us tea/coffee when we wanted as a special request.
The next day morning we went for Darshan and came back and our key card did not work. I went to the reception and told this and they just updated the card and gave it to me. Now, I was not the only one facing this issue. There were others too having the same issue. Initially I thought it was a tech issue. But, when I asked the guy casually what happened, his reply left me shocked. He told me that the cards are programmed to reset after the check out time even if you have booked for 3 days. So, every time you will have to go get the card updated if you are staying for 2-3 days.
Coming to the room, the AC remote is attached to the wall. Every time you will have to on/off the AC by going near the remote! The shower/bath area was slippery. The dental kit, soaps are not kept in the room by default. You will have to call and tell them...
Read moreI must say, this kind of hotel was much needed in Mantralaya town. We are visiting Mantralaya from ages and we were really fed up with kind of hotels we get in town. A standard hotel use to be at least 40KMs away from the town.
This hotel has addressed all the problems with respect to accommodation, hospitality & food. I stayed here for one night with my parents in a standard room. It was totally worth it. Out of all visits to Mantralayam in past 5 decades, for the first time we had a good sleep. My whole family was really impressed by this hotel.
ROOMS: They do have many accommodation options like, Standard, Family Room & presidential suite too. All rooms including standard are really spacious and equipped with all modern amenities like LED television, cozy bed, Split AC, Luxurious batroom fittings with a 24 Hours Running hot water. Toilets were hygenic and the room was spot less.
SERVICE: Staffs are very helpful and seems to be well trained. Though the pace of service is bit slow, since it's new hotel it will pick up soon.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: They have a separate restaurant in the premises by name "Aahar" which is really huge. As per my experience with other restaurants in and around Mantralaya I would like tell this restaurant is THE BEST. The quality of food is very close to the most famous restaurants of metro cities. They prepare every confectioneries and food items in house which is really appreciable. The service in the restaurant is also too good.
EVERYTHING ELSE: This hotel has a huge parking space along with valet service (which is yet to start). They have pick up & drop facility to temple with their electric rickshaw. This hotel is hardly 600 mtrs away from the temple gate. Since it is located before the temple road, you need not to pay vehicle entry fee too. Most importantly this hotel has 24 Hours power back up.
THINGS NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED: Mantralayam is known for bugs problem. Houseflies & mosquitos are hard to get rid off. This hotel is also facing the similar problem but compared to other hotels in the town, here the magnitude of this problem is just 5%. But still, they need to look into more reliable method to keep bugs out. Though rooms were luxurious, due to lack of ventilation it had a strange odour at the time of check-in. Which can be easily avoided with some pre-check-in preparations. As of now, restaurant is not accepting cards or any digital payments. It is much needed considering the menu price and the fact that ATMs are bit far to the restaurant.
FINAL VERDICT: If comfortable is your top priority. You won't get any best option other than this hotel in 50 KM radius....
