Hippie hostel Anjuna — Hotel in Anjuna

Irrespective of booking a bed in Hippies 2 months in advance and received repeated confirmation over mail from Hippies, I was sure that my booking exists. Even 1 day before leaving for Goa, I again reminded them. They said OK. Upon reaching, I found property is closed due to some reasons for 15 days. I asked them about booking, the caretaker was very rude and told me to GO and cancel from your side. I asked, I came all the way from the Delhi and have to undergo the stress of again finding room (now the prices will rise in last moment). The caretaker did not bother to answer. He just said, cancel, and go. Although the opposite property was kind enough to give me a Bed on the spot in slightly high price but still very reasonable. Kudos to them. Hippies hostel has a good name in North goa...But I was highly disappointed by their attitude. I have to check my statement whether the amount was deducted or not. This kind of attitude is pathetic. As a tourist I had to undergo stress and tension to find another accommodation with luggage.

Things I disliked - No Accountability No clear answer. Rude...

Location is perfect and Anjuna is almost 100 metres or even less then that so you are always at the beach. I think what most people like is Maddy who run the Hostel. He is the person you want to look forward whenever you enter there. The day I was about to travel he sent me location on my whatsapp which was very good gesture, booked for 2 days and I stayed there for 7 days. When I was there it was in renovation and by the time I left lot of things were developed. I enjoyed with people with whom I met so good for socializing. If I happen to be in Goa for sure I'm gonna come here. Tip- Do not forget to try fish curry just outside of Hostel, it's small place where you get home cooked meal. It's worth every single penny and...

Thankfully I stayed there for only 1 night but made some friends. I went back to visit one and owner asked me to leave asap. 2-3 days later I went back again outside the hostel n he gave me threat that he would beat me with bamboo sticks and never come on that street again. Also i might add that I wanted to do some extra curricular activities which were openly being done there by other people so I never understood why he threatened me only. He is a Gunda beware of him. Girls I would not recomend to stay there ever. If anyone is low on budget they can stay but for better exp, pls stay away from these type of shaddy n...
