Capital O 16 Hillside — Hotel in Assam

Stayed here for 23 days. Mr. Keshav is really kind but that doesn’t really make up for the below standard services. Room cleaning was promised daily.. but it was done only thrice that too after requesting. I asked for a dustbin thrice but I was only promised and I didn’t get any. Even after pre-booking a month in advance they booked my room to another party and asked me to adjust in another room for a day which was non-ac and promised me an extra fan that didn’t really come even until 2am (I actually went and asked at 2am). There’s usually no one at the counter and you have to go looking for them. The taps also have barely any pressure. Both Mr. Keshav and Mr. Nayan are really kind and polite... but, like I said, it isn’t an excuse for bad service. I had booked the stay for 25 days but had to leave on the 23rd day because of flight availability. I asked for some refund since I also adjusted a lot, but they cited a no-refund policy and were reluctant to give me any money back! The 2 stars because place is nice and the polite attitude of Mr. Keshav.

Edit 1: I didn’t book out of airbnb. I booked it with airbnb with the prices that were quoted. And it was including the service charges. I only booked out of airbnb because you said it was ok and it’d be fine because I wanted it in instalments. I paid what airbnb quoted. And airbnb themselves suggested the rates.. I didn’t ask for a discount. So the room being 600₹ was your quoted rate.. not my requested rate....

I would've rated them zero if it were possible. Despite the good ratings, we faced many, many problems During check in, they asked us to pay double the amount we booked the hotel in claiming that they are not making enough money with oyo offering discounts. Thankfully, oyo customer care services resolved our issue. This 16 hill side place is your other home in Guwahati.Owner sree Keshav bhai Goswami is so good and helpful that you won't feel that he is a stranger to you. He will guide you how to go elsewhere in Asam. If you are lost somewhere he will send a cab to fetch you back to the place.Even you have arrived at airport or railway station he will send a cab to reach his place easily. Rooms are cozy and well maintained with large comfortable bed and cupboards for your belongings. Staff are very obedient and helpful, talking to in a low voice with all respect. The place has its kitchen and good Cook. Whatever you want to it just tell him and you will get and love to eat. It has bamboo made place too where you can take breakfast or lunch or dinner served there. If I continue to describe the place it will become an essay.
