Disappointing Stay at Grand Kasturi Hotel

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Grand Kasturi Hotel, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by several issues.

Firstly, the air conditioning control button was not available in the room. Instead, it was placed outside the room and was a common control for all rooms, which made it inconvenient to adjust the temperature to our liking.

Furthermore, the free breakfast provided was not up to the mark. The options were limited to dosa or idly, which were not even worth the Rs. 60 they claimed it was valued at. Moreover, tea or coffee was not even an option, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber.

To make matters worse, the breakfast was not even provided automatically. We had to ask for it every day, which was frustrating.

Additionally, the lift was not functioning properly. One of the doors would not open, making it impossible to enter or exit the lift. This was a major inconvenience, especially for guests with mobility issues.

The ground floor staff were also overly inquisitive, always asking where we were going. It seemed like they were more interested in monitoring our movements than providing genuine hospitality.

The area surrounding the hotel was also extremely dusty, which made it uncomfortable to walk around.

Lastly, the staff seemed uncomfortable and unapproachable, which added to our overall dissatisfaction with the hotel.

Overall, I would not recommend the Grand Kasturi Hotel to anyone. The numerous issues we faced made our stay unpleasant and frustrating.

I am writing this review in the hope of saving others from a truly terrible experience. From the moment we tried to find the place, it was clear that this hotel is a mistake. There is no proper sign or name board, and the hotel is located so far down a difficult, main-road that finding it felt like a wild goose chase. The surrounding area is also quite unpleasant, making this a poor choice for anyone, especially families.

The parking situation is even worse. The lot is nothing but a slippery, unpaved track that becomes treacherous when it rains. I was genuinely concerned about getting the vehicle out. The entire ground floor and outer premises of the hotel are neglected and filthy. The place is covered in dust and there is no evidence of any regular cleaning.

What's more, the hotel is a complete misrepresentation of what it promises. Despite being advertised with a pub and a restaurant, there are no such facilities available. The place feels cheap and desolate, with no one at the "reception" or on the ground floor to even guide guests. The staff we did encounter were unresponsive, and the complimentary breakfast was incredibly limited.

Given the high price and the nonexistent standards, this place is not worth it. At this price point, there are far better options in the area. I wish I had the chance to give this hotel a minus rating, as it's the only one it deserves. Please, for your own sake,...

I recently stayed at Grand Kasturi, and I have no words to express how fabulous the experience was! The ambience of the room was top-notch — beautifully designed and exceptionally well-maintained.

The room provided to me was exactly as shown on their website, which really impressed me. It matched the pictures perfectly, and that level of transparency added to my trust and satisfaction.

The room was fully equipped with thoughtful amenities like snacks, a weighing machine, a color-changing mirror, and a well-stocked washroom with all the essentials provided. Everything was spotlessly clean and hygienic. Honestly, I didn’t even feel like leaving the room — it was that comfortable and inviting.

My stay included a complimentary breakfast, which was impressive. There was a wide variety of items including bread, butter, jam, eggs, idli, vada, paratha, juice, and many more options — something for everyone.😋

The hotel’s location is also excellent — well-connected and convenient. We had no trouble finding cabs, and there were plenty of nearby options for lunch, dinner, and snacks.
