Had an awesome experience at Rotano Grand. The room was decent and the services provided were great and more importantly it was value for money.
Below are the key points based on my experience at the hotel:
Pros: The location is easily accessible and not at all congested. There is easy access to public transport, super markets, restaurants, petrol pumps, hospitals etc. The staff at reception and cleaning were polite and well behaved. There was free basement parking which can accomodate a couple of cars, (says 3) plus a few bikes (say 8) at the same time. There is a small parking space right in front of the hotel which can accommodate 3-4 bikes which is very good as well. The room doors uses wifi card access and auto locks on closure which gives you a more secure feeling. The room was exactly as shown in the pics except for the obvious contrasty appearance and the bedspread designs. The room and washroom was super clean and spotless when we arrived. The wifi was strong and fast and had minor disconnections only occasionally for a couple of mins. There was smart TV in the room which was another plus. There was an electric kettle in the room and a common iron box and drinking water cans on each floor which was super convenient. The hallways were always kept super clean and it smelled really nice and they would clean the room at your request anytime and take out the trash regularly. They will allow slightly early check-in as long as there are rooms available. Make sure to call and confirm on the same beforehand. They had provided hand wash and body wash in the washroom which was a good gesture, but they were of the cheapest kind so don't expect much of it. The washroom had hot water 24x7 on tap and shower which is always great for the bangalore climate. There was power backup so whenever a powercut happened it was back up in a couple of seconds.
The Cons: The washroom ventilation fan was not working so we had to buy a freshener to keep the it smelling fresh The pillows were too small and thin that I never even felt it was there. The bedsheet and pillow covers were white and had some amount of stains from over usage. It didn't have that fresh smell, which made me wonder whether those were changed after the last user left or just tucked in neatly. If you are too specific about this aspect better pack a bedsheet in your luggage. The kettle had hard stains inside it at the bottom which couldn't be removed even after multiple washes for which I would blame the idiot customer who mishandled it rather than the hotel. The Tata Sky satellite TV wasn't working because of no active subscription. However, this didn't bother me much either since it was a smart tv and the internet was strong. The washroom sink tap was leaking so we had to close the valve each time after use so as to not let the water go for waste. Obviously this place is not close to a metro or railways station and Bangalore's one way and flyover routing would make you ride or drive a bit longer than you would like. There is a construction happening right beside the hotel probably an extension of their current building but that caused some noises every now n then. It's not too intrusive in the day time, however, for some reason there was some occasional thump and rattling noise at the night which was slightly annoying. Donno if that was made by some customer staying on the floor above or something else. Overall I can say the voice insulation of the rooms weren't the best.
NB: I didn't raise a complaint on any of the above cons with the hotel management since none of them bothered us much and we had a short and eventful stay. Just stating them here as an FYI for any reader/ management so that they can take action as applicable.
Overall it was a very good experience. I didn't go for the breakfast option this time but the next time I am returning, and I definitely will, based on my experience this time, I will definitely check that...
Read moreOverall an average experience staying there, couple of times the internet wasn’t there and for 2 days straight, didn't had water in bathroom (hot water was there though).
Only 1 staff to take care of your breakfast (it was yummy) but felt bad for that person who was single-handedly working in the kitchen. Hopefully FabHotel takes care of him and his compensation.
Cleanliness was a bit issue, requested staff to clean the room, they did a good job, but forgot to change towel, bath-mat , and bedsheet. (just aligned it)
Didn’t turn on the AC , there was a pungent smell of some rodent’s poop whenever i turned it on, hence had to live by the Fan.
Overall a good experience as usual, but other FabHotels offers superior service than Rotano - Grand. I May visit here again, if smaller details are looked-upon otherwise better to explore different hotels nearby.
If you’re reading this review, please consider the above mentioned issues before moving-in, overall you won’t have any major issue. Good luck...
Read moreI recently stayed at Fab Hotel Rotano Grand in Marathahalli. The hotel is well-located and offers comfortable rooms that are clean and well-maintained. The overall ambience of the hotel is pleasant, and the staff were generally helpful.
However, I was disappointed with the misleading information regarding the amenities. During the booking process, it was clearly mentioned that tea and coffee packs were included in the room. But when I arrived, I found that these were not provided in the room. Upon inquiring, I was informed that I would need to pay extra for them. This was quite frustrating, as it was contrary to what was promised during the booking.
Overall, while the stay was comfortable and the hotel facilities were good, the issue with the tea and coffee packs left a sour note on the experience. I hope the management addresses this discrepancy to avoid similar issues for...
