Hotel Rajmahal with a long history, is a popular hotel for tourists in Bengaluru. It is strategically placed in heart of the city on Sheshadri Road at Anand Rao Circle next to Jayachamarajendra Ayurveda Hospital Dhanvantri Road, close to the Kempegowda Bus Stand, Namma Metro Station and KSR Bengaluru Railway Station. This has been a favourite hotel for our family since the last three decades.
Since the hotel is adjacent to the Sheshadri Road flyover, one way traffic from the Dhanvantri Road is not crowded during day time. During late evening, some long distance private buses are parked in a row to pick up passengers. Bus booking agents are next door. Anand Rao Circle is at stone's throw, and from there one can catch an autorickshaw to any part of the city.
The hotel offers A/c and Non A/c single occupancy and double occupancy rooms with flexible check-in and check-out timings at affordable tariff. We checked in at 7:00AM and checked out at 8:00AM. They charged us for only one day at Rs.2250/- including taxes. They also accommodated our luggage in the cloak room by the side of reception counter at no extra cost.
Rooms in the side wing are neat and less pricy whereas the ones in the main block are cozy with a panoramic view.
Our recent stay in Hotel Rajmahal was on February 25, 2023 to February 26, 2023. We preferred to stay in the main block, and we mostly prefer a non A/c room, since Bengaluru weather is mostly cool, rooms on the fourth floor and up have better breeze of air and the ceiling fan is sufficient to keep us cool.
Receptionist and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful from the time I booked the hotel over phone two days prior to our visit until we checked out. Room boys helped us in catching autorickshaws for our commutation.
Overall experience was memorable with safe, comfortable and pleasant stay.

Now people go for A/c and here is a hotel with no fan at all.And in the evening if we have to wait, there are so many mosquitoes bothering. As the hotel is very old they still have old system of maintenance. The bedsheets were also stained here and there.0They are not marching with times. No complete toiletries given only one soap given for two. Where as some hotels provide soap, tooth brush , paste and shampoo for the same cost. The restaurant is also ok ok type. As trainess are employed for service we have to bare tea spilt in the saucer and the cup will also be stained. The cup and saucer look very old.Better get new cutlery. The plates are also not...
