SPOT ON 43976 Veekay Tourist Home — Hotel in Bengaluru

I stayed last night that is 13-11-2019. This lodge is 2 minutes walk from Yesvanthpur Railway Station. Not a great place. But OK OK. Ideal for a solo traveller like me. Room was small and clean. Linens were wel kept. A big no no for family. However, I saw a few family groups checking in and checking out. Ideal place for a single stay if you have to board a train from yesvanthpur station early in the morning. Pros: 1)Toilet was clean. 2) 2 minutes walk from railway station 3) Good eateries nearby 4) Staff is courteous and well mannered. Especially Charan and another guy from Assam 5) There is a bar by name Vijayalakshmi near by which is good only for a drink after a tiring journey.

Cons:

1. TV wasn't working.
2. There is a electric geyser which doesn't work.
3. Health faucet was broken
4. The western comode used to make sound while sitting as if it was dettached from the ground.
5. No towel or toiletries supplied.

A few tips

1. If you need western toilets, ask for it as rooms in lower floors have Indian toilets.
2. Ask for hot water for bathing and the Assam guy will deliver it in a bucket.
3. Directly go there and ask for a room as the online apps charge more. I got it for a lesser price of INR 600 which is lesser then what is displayed online.
4. Remember to have a cup of tea at Taj tea stall opposite Malabar Restaurant which is next...

This hotel will be very useful and affordable for budget range tourists. Its only 200 mtr away from Yeshwanthpur railway station. But the main issue i faced was none of the receptionists speaks English, you have to either speak in Hindi/kannada or sometimes tamil. Value for money is good. It charges only around 500 for a deluxe double room without AC. You get quite comfortable room with a small television. But it doesn't offer you the premium channels, and the viewing angle from bed is not comfortable. And the bedsheets had some minor scratches. Rooms were painted recently, but it doesn't seem to be cleaned after last guest.

Window curtain is see through and not wide enough to cover. So if you are so much concerned about your privacy, avoid this hotel.

This one can be considered if you're looking for a cheap accommodation for a day or two. This one is easily accessible from both Yeshwanthpur junction railway station and Yeshwanthpur...

I recently stayed there from 14-08-2017 to 20-08-2017. As per location it is good. Restaurants near by are cheap. But main thing u need is peaceful atmosphere when your tired is not there, even when i was sleeping at night and my window was open a cat came inside my room under my bed around 1am night. As my room was in ground floor H3 there was no room service... Nor the guys use to clean the room and in my bathroom they kept a dirty mug which was crack.. no doormat nothing.. i asked the guy to change my bedding he refused.. they don't even take the garbage from your room ,all the time you have to request them.. no helping nature of the manager as he is the prime minister of India. They charge 750 rs per 24 hrs but no facility... as per everything this place is...
