Our organisation XL4W (with XLRI CGEIL) conducts a 3 week development program up! SURGE for Senior Women Leaders.
This year, the program included a 2 day residential component for 150 Senior Women Leaders and 30+ speakers, facilitators and core team. After initial conversations with multiple hotels, we selected the Taj Yeshwantpur.
Mr Ram Maheshwari helped us get things rolling. Ripu Makhnotra & Purti Aurangabadkar from the Catering Sales Teams helped us at the organising stages and addressed all our needs and questions.
Amreek Singh, the Banquet Manager who was our main co-ordinator throughout the 2 day was extremely helpful and responsive to every request
Sanya Dhawan helped us with the rooms and participant experience and on her own initiative, organised roses to be handed over to every single woman registering at our dedicated desk.
Siddu Raj, Executive Sous Chef and Subigya Moktan, Chef de Partie served us delicious and nutritious meals across the 2 days with a varied menu.
Saktimel managed all the logistics related to the cocktail evening & networking dinner for our participants with CXO's.
Auro Sinha along with Yash Joshi headed the staff on the ground who were always present, ensuring water canisters were filled, got staff to clean up spills / washrooms / any emergency requests.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Taj Yeshwantpur for our first hybrid cohort of up! SURGE. As Execution Lead for the event, I interacted with so many members of the Taj team at every level.
Precision, timeliness, responsibility, responsiveness, politeness, respect towards their customers is so deeply ingrained and came through in EVERY SINGLE interaction with every single person from senior management to the cleaning staff and the maintenance engineers.
In a space of 26 hours, we had 3 different room and furniture configurations in the same space with extremely short turnover times. It was a pleasure to watch how quickly and efficiently the team worked to transform the space each time.
I also must emphasise here that the courtesy of each individual including wash room staff and security made all the difference.
The rooms, the meals, the staff, the venue, everything was on point. Our participants were very happy with the venue and we did not receive any complaints at the end of the program. Each one of them was made to feel like an honored guest in true Taj fashion.
The Taj Yeshwantpur was truly a partner to us in every sense of the word, during this event. We will not hesitate to organise any of our future...
Read moreIt is a Taj so everything is as good as it's going to get. Most 5 star hotels do a good job but what sets the Taj apart from the others for me is their attention to the little things, like: noting your in-room beverage preferences and replenishing them accordingly by the 2nd day. increasing the complimentary water bottles based on your previous usage. remembering your breakfast coffee preferences, and reheating the milk for the 2nd cup. Bringing the 2nd cup without having to ask. Thank you Swastik for looking after us. mentioning a breakfast preference in a chat with the chef and being served it the next morning. Thank you Akil Sharma for the best congee we've ever had; amazing consistency, perfect seasoning, perfect balance of condiments! The fried onions topping puts it right over the top. the warm friendliness of all the staff and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Binita who is always goes out her her way to help and the ever exuberant Channabasappa at the door. The
The crew have the uncanny ability to know what you need even before you do.
The breakfast spread is massive with Indian and continental choices, and with egg, dosa and pancake stations. My favourites (congee aside) were the fruits, roast vegetables, mushrooms, smoked salmon, freshly baked bread and the honey. They don't do anything by halves here.
The rooms are big and spacious and immaculately serviced. The gym is very well equipped for a hotel. The pool is at least 20m longs and the water temperature is perfect for swimming. The hotel has a huge banyan tree that takes up the entire courtyard - it's absolutely beautiful.
Location wise, its not in the city centre but it's bang on the metro so accessing the city is quick and easy. Not to mention much quieter and safer than the alternative which are the kamikaze auto and uber drivers. The metro does get busy so be warned.
It's just 2 stops from Orion Mall which is bigger than any of the malls in the City Centre so shopping is very convenient.
If you don't absolutely have to be in the city, this Taj is the...
Read moreWe stayed here for a week on a personal trip. The hotel overall felt more for business trips than personal trips. There were many business people there.
The foyer was beautiful. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, not a lot of variety though from day-to-day. The coffee maker they had was an instant coffee maker for the buffet which was very disappointing. That coffee was no good. The chai was not good. Luckily, they did open up the espresso maker and make me a latte, which was much needed. We also tried to purchase coffee beans from their coffee shop area. They never called when they opened nor was someone there when it was supposed to be open. It took 15+ minutes to get two small containers of coffee beans to go.
The room was nice but the floor was dirty! We had to tell them to clean it up. The bed was super hard. I told them and they put a mattress pad on but it didn’t help very much. By the time we were checking out my back was hurting. We did enjoy the shower and the lounge area of the room. The turn down service was okay. The chocolates were not very good.
We had the lunch buffet one day and that was nice. They just have a smaller dining area than the other hotels we stayed at during our 3.5 weeks in India. Of the three hotels in Bengaluru which we stayed, this would be placed last on our list, unfortunately. The bed is super important for a hotel and when someone has asked for correction and it never gets resolved, something off the bill should...
