Oh where do I start about this place, their variety of food, the amicable ambience, lovely chefs, attention to detail, Taj hospitality and more.
We got a chance to have an amazing dining experience at the Palette as my wife got an opportunity to collaborate with the Taj team to serve some delicious desserts for a mother’s day brunch.
The ambience at the restaurant was unlike any other brunch at a five star hotel. The restaurant was decorated in shades of pink as it was mother’s day.
In terms of food, we could find stations full of freshly baked breads of more than 20 varieties, 25+ salads, 25+ desserts, a dedicated station for Indian veg and Indian non-veg curries and biryani along with an outdoor space for chaat items, a lebanese station for kebabs and grills along with a station for bhatkali cuisine.
For the main course, one could order fresh breads like rotis, parathas, naans etc and it would be served straight to your table. I liked how the breads were made to order and not just prepared and kept in a hot plate along with the curries.
This is the difference when you dine in at a posh restaurant Vs when you dine in at a premium hotel like Taj Yeshwantpur.
Apart from the food, there was a live magic show, tarot reading sessions and live music which was open to all and provided that X factor to the brunch. It was Taj’s way of going above and beyond for the customers.
In the end, I would definitely go back to Taj Yeshwantpur for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries as they give you a royal treatment which is beyond the imagination of regular folks.
I loved how the Taj team had each and every minute detail figured out right from the decor to the food and created a vibrant atmosphere for families to come and celebrate this special day.
I would definitely recommend you to visit the Palette restaurant and if you get a chance, try to meet the exec Chef Bijoy Nair. We have dined at various amazing establishments and Chef Bijoy is the most humble exec chef that we have come across. We need more people like him in the hospitality industry who always tries to lead by example and goes above and beyond their job. We would definitely meet him the next time we go to Taj Yeshwantpur, ofcourse if he can take out some time from his busy schedule and share his experience about food in and...

Read morevisited Taj Palette three days ago for a family outing. we opted for buffet lunch. lets start with the details. Unfortunately, the dishes were too less to click pictures. :-(
the buffet spread was too less with respect to the brand name of TAJ! (compare with Melange, Radisson Blu or even Feast, Sheraton Grand - with pictures in my other reviews - Melange tops the list for me, though, in terms of buffet spread) food was mediocre in taste there was no non-veg starters (chicken or fish) on the buffet spread out - we had to enquire and only then fish and chicken were served - only one variety each - to be precise. vegetarian dishes were there - but when we look into the non-veg dishes - there was mutton biriyani (couldn't make out whether it was lamb or goat - the display name didn't mention anything), there was one chicken gravy, and one dish of pork - in the main course the starters were mostly salads - there was one egg dish laid out over there - and there was the 'tenderloin'. TAJ kindly note, when you display any food specially the non-veg items - make sure that you mention what they are coz 'tenderloin' can be of any animal - beef, pork etc as per the OED! There are many guests who neither eat beef nor pork.. and there are many who may not be aware of the exact meaning of your 'tenderloin' there was no Live counter!!! complete drawback in comparison to others! desserts were also very less :-( . but liked the rasmalai; the milk cake was little sour don't know why. the black forest was not on the counter when I reached for it and after waiting for sometime and even asking the person in charge over there - there was no response. Now coming to the ambience - the seating arrangement was not comfortable. the chairs were ordinary and the tables were very small. ideally those tables are okay for two people but not for four for sure! the plates were white but there were black stains on few of them - since tissue papers were not given - we couldn't clean it ourselves - so we kept checking one plate after the other.
Expected far better service in terms of FOOD from TAJ and TATA...
