Hotel Eden Roc — Hotel in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation

Ok. So I have stayed at this hotel for 4-5 times now for office work so my review goes like this:- Pros:- Just outside entry of Platform no. 6 at Bhubaneshwar Railway station. So if you are travelling for work further, then, its easy to just get up in the morning and catch the train without the fear of missing..

Staff behavior is great. Right from the receptionist (one lady and one gent) to all the support staff like caterers, food delivery inside the room.... You will get nice people who are polite, humble and helpful. They don't seek any tips like other hotels...

Cost of rooms is pretty mid-sized and the room sizes are appropriate. So you will not feel the burn on your pocket excessively.

Distance from airport is hardly around 10-15 minutes. No major traffic found anywhere.

In the evening, go to the 4th floor and roam on the roof. They have got a great view upstairs. The skyline of Bhubaneshwar looks beautiful at night from there.

Cons:- Hotel needs pest control once in a while. Saw some insects roaming inside the rooms on opening. (But none on bed or almirah). Probably if the rooms are closed for long, the pests come out. May be with a once in a while pest control, they can overcome it.

Food- limited number of deserts on the menu (though you will see a number of items on the menu list but they rarely have anything for desert other than plain curd of may be gulab jamun).

(Though, chicken biryani, fish finger, kadhai chicken etc.. were very tasty and quantity is also sufficient).

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. The hotel situated at a great location, just adjucent to the Bhubaneswar Railway Station platform No 6. It is a well built hotel & relatively new in construction. Rooms are well decorated & nothing to complaint about. Now coming to the sad part which is food at this hotel. I had complementary breakfast & except sambar every other thing is tasteless. Some dishes are good like Chicken Curry & others are worthless. The front desk guys are not welcoming & they are doing it just for the sake of their job. Though the location is great but you won't get ola or uber easily around that area as compared to Master Canteen. I may or may not return to this hotel as there are various good hotels...

A good value for money hotel right next to the railway station. We could literally see not just our train but also our exact coach from our hotel room window. Even then the soundproofing is such that no train sounds disturb you throughout the day or night. The staff is courteous and prompt. The rooms are well lit and spacious and clean. There is a complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning with a nice range of breakfast dishes available. The only drawback I could think of is that the service is a tad bit on the slower side but it's not really such a big deal and there are no long frustrating waits for anything.
