We stayed at Welcomehotel by ITC, Bhubaneswar from 11 to 15 Aug 2023. The hotel lives up to its name as you feel warmly welcomed as soon as you enter its premises. Surrounded by well-maintained lush green garden and lawns, with sufficient parking space, it gives a sense of peace & calm despite being located conveniently on 16 NH. It is within easily reachable distances from places like Udayagiri - Khandagiri caves, Lingraj, Rajarani, Mukteshwar Temples as well as from best shopping places like Utkalika, Boyanika & Priyadarshini for buying iconic Sambalpuri Ikat sarees & artifacts. The warmth and helpful attitude of the staff made our 3 day stay very comfortable …almost like being at home. I would like to specially mention the name of Mr. Rakesh Sahoo who was always there with a welcoming smile, a cheerful demeanor, and ready to be of any assistance. He with his knowledge of local customs and areas helped us hugely in planning our Puri & Konark trips systematically & was always there to go an extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The dining experience at the Welcome Café was another highlight of our stay, the credit for which goes to the Asst. MasterChef Arvind Singh & the Head, MasterChef (Met just once but failed to catch his name) & and their team. From planning the menu of each meal to its preparation, presentation and service it was a delight for anyone who enjoys food and appreciates the effort involved in preparation of each dish. All the dishes were delicious, full of flavour, nutritious, having just the right levels of spice and seasoning be it cuisine of any type or from anywhere…….fully justifying the claim to it’s being a multicuisine restaurant. I am all the more grateful to the Chefs & their team as this was the first time a year after the end of my Cancer treatment that I was able to enjoy eating such variety of delicacies without having to worry about any side effects due the food being too spicy or heavy. I especially loved the Pumpkin & Lemon-coriander soups, the wide variety of salads & juices, vegetable biryani (which I usually don’t eat but enjoyed here), stuffed parathas & Poori-aaloo, Croissants as well as other confectionery & the variety of sweet dishes…the Mud Cake was just awesome. We ended up taking all our meals at the Welcome Café itself & the credit goes to the philosophy behind planning of each meal, as conveyed to us by Chef Arvind …….that they try to ensure that a guest may continue to enjoy the food on each day of their stay by being served with something new in each meal & how the recipe of each new dish goes through being evaluated on strict parameters before being included in the menu. It is to be remembered that a good restaurant is the backbone of a good hotel. The housekeeping staff promptly & willingly attended to any of our requirement. The travel desk was also helpful in providing us conveyance for our trip to Puri. All in all I would say that our stay was very pleasant, comfortable and highly enjoyable at Welcomehotel by ITC at Bhubaneswar…..we surely would come again and would love to explore the other branches at other...

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review: My stay at Welcome Hotel by ITC was a mix of highs and lows. While the restaurant provided delightful culinary experiences, the housekeeping left much to be desired.
Let's start with the positives. The restaurant at the hotel served delicious meals with impeccable service. Mr. Joy, in particular, stood out with his attentiveness and friendly demeanor, enhancing our dining experience. His professionalism and warmth truly made a difference during our meals.
However, the same level of excellence was not reflected in the housekeeping department. Despite bringing up concerns about cleanliness, we found the room maintenance to be lacking. It seemed like attention to detail was missing, and some areas were overlooked during our stay.
Although the housekeeping aspect was disappointing, the exceptional service in the restaurant, especially from Mr. Joy, somewhat compensated for it. Overall, Welcome Hotel by ITC has potential, but improvements in housekeeping are necessary to ensure a more satisfying...
Read moreThe receptionist guy probably scammed me. Our check in was on 22-Jul-2023 and we checked out at 23-Jul-23. The room was booked on one of my friends name ‘Sk. Hanif’. We drank 2 red bulls from the mini fridge in the room. While checking out the receptionist told me I had to pay 860 something for the eatables I consumed. I payed that with my credit card whiteout checking the bill. On checking the bill, I realised they invoiced me for 2 chocolates, 2 redbulls and what not. When I went to the receptionist with the bill, he apologised for the mistake and said he would refund the entire 860 and then again charge for 2 Red Bulls only. I was again charged 440 something for 2 Red Bulls hoping that I would get back my 860 which I paid earlier. It’s gonna be 15 days I haven’t got my 860 back so basically this is how ITC is scamming rich people. They think the rich are not gonna see the bill and just pay but luckily my friends asked me to check and I was probably scammed. Would never visit this hotel and would never ever recommend anyone. The worst experience I’ve ever had, would go for Vivanta over ITC any day in...
