Very bad experience though I didn't even stay here. I approached reception n moment I said I shall book from goibibo, he said we won't accept goibibo booking as we have sent them email for same. I checked goibibo n many rooms available at lesser price. Reception said only one room available n it's for 3500 n goibibo had same room for 1800. I said I will do goibibo n he said he will only accept if I pay 3500. I asked to speak to mgr n now other guy says no room available as first guy by mistake one room available. I said I want to speak to GM or owner n immediately they said one room is available. In mean Time 4 times he mentioned to other staff that this is business class hotel. I m a rider n stay in hotels for 3 months across India. Does your hotel want people to check in wearing suits n ties then mention that as your tagline. Don't be greedy n lie to people or under estimate them. Your own junior staff was is embarrassment of your reception fiasco. He new something is fishy. Your reception made a fool of himself n has brought down your hotel image even before I could stay there. I called goibibo n they said they have not rec'd any intimation but also said they are helpless because in the end hotel decides what to do. Sorry to say but what ur reception did I have never faced in my entire traveling experience across world. I stay n check in 5 star hotels with dirtiest rider wear n no change in their attitude. Kindly note you are a hotel, don't discriminate. All the best. If the hotel wishes to contact me, add a msg here n I shall share my contact number. This incident is of October 26 n I doubt if the owner was informed about this...
Read moreWent to Rathna Residency at Townhall for Dinner on Sunday. The Restaurant was desolated at 7pm as there was noone. But Vehicles were literally flying in & out of the Bar(not Car) Parking every 5 minutes. In the entire 2.5 hours We spent there only 1 other diner came in & had food. People probably prefer the Roof Garden is my guess!
We (16 members including the Kids in our extended Family) ordered Soups, Chicken, Biriyani, Fried Rice, Roti, Kulcha, Paniyaram, Ghee Roast along with Dal, Mutton Chettinad Curry, Egg Curry, Panneer Curry. Soups were fine and what was more fine was they agreed to make it 1/3 all. A very appreciable gesture from the restaurant as we even returned a plate of Paniyaram back as they had fried the Paniyaram instead of cooking it.
The food was truly delectable. The spices were rightly added to sooth your palate. The kids enjoyed the dishes without any complaints as they are better connoisseurs than adults in my not so humble opinion.
The Bill was whisked away by the eldest member from my wife's side of the Family so couldn't even take a slanted look at the charges. Ice cream was the only dessert available. So gladly ordered & enjoyed the scoops.
Since it was a damn difficult task to eat Rotis with Spoons had to use my hands. So couldn't open my Mobile Camera to photograph all the items. I can happily say that We all truly enjoyed the humid evening with good food that's easy on your tummy.
Also took a sneaky peaky look at Angannan's Biriyani Shop inside the same campus & thought next time will have to come...
Read moreCame for a dinner get together with our team. The food and service in the restaurant was all good and applaudable. Finally when we were about to leave we took a photo at the reception. As it was a long awaited get together we wanted everyone in the frame, hence requested the receptionist Mr.Vivek to take a photo. He was very arrogant initially to even offer a help. When asked repeatedly he finally took a picture and later when we requested to click in another phone he was like "you do it by yourself and share amongst yourselves". Finally the restaurant staff who was seeing all these commotion came and helped us with the click. All these was happening when there was literally no guest other than us in the hotel lobby. If this is the kind of attitude someone from a service sector has, it poorly reflects upon the hotel management and the value they give to the customers. If someone responsible is reading this please train your front office staff properly, else whatever services you offer will...
