Busiest Railway Station. Now a days I could see 2/3 of passengers from North Indians. Heavily crowded everywhere. Not easy to access the Enquiry counter. Mostly thronged by youngsters from North India. No proper guidance for elderly passengers. The platforms are not so clean. The Display LED screens are not functioning. The announcements of arrivals/departures are too noisy to understand but not clear. To make it worst, commercial advertisements are there!
The arrival time of enroute trains and its platform numbers are being announced only 10 to 15 minutes before. How do the elderly passengers move to the particular platforms within such a short notice? Thanks to the battery operated car drivers; they help the Elderly passengers.
The Allepy super fast express comes on platform 4 by 10.10 p.m. But the platform number was announced only 15 minutes before. For senior citizens it is highly impossible to run to their coach positions within such short time. Hell of experience to reach B1 coach !
The cleanliness of the 🚻 toilets in the B1 coach is unbearable and stinky! One cannot even enter into it! Horrible experience.
On top of it, no bed rolls or linen are provided to passengers even on 27th March 2022, though the Railway announced that such facilities are reintroduced from 11th March itself! Good old compartments! You never get changed!! To put it right, in the words of Tamil Novelist Mr.Jayakanthan, "தைலி! நீ இன்னும் மாறவில்லை!"
After this journey, it would be better, if every senior citizens may have to check their bones and joints once! A bitter...
Read moreNice place. But the railway station is not clean as much. The railway station workers trying to keep the station clean. But we are the people who visiting there are making this place very bad. The station have all the facility like there in other stations. But I think this station not there on its standard because Coimbatore is an main city and the railway station need to be ideal one. There is no more space to sit there. Only minimalistic places are there to sit. I visited here at night time on that time I saw people laying on the ground. There is no place to walk also that much crowd was there. The seat bench is limited there. And similarly the washroom or toilet need to be very clean because lot of people visiting here . But the sad part is the washroom and toilet also seen to be unclean I won't say the management is causes for it . We are cause for it . Yes surely it's our fault.we are the responsible Indian citizen.we need a mindset that our public property need to be good . Everyone one need to say by looking this oh this is very clean . So it is our main responsibilities to keep it clean. There is one saying that it is better do nothing than doing a unwanted thing similarly we know what need to be done and what not. So by understanding that we...
Read moreThe station facilities has developed so much including lift service..but the toilet facilities are still not adequate, not included in each platform.. and the toilets availble are not clean and properly maintained.. The ticket counter is too crowded during peak time and it takes too much time to get ticket, there is less number of ticket counters compared to the number of passengers.. Most of the people are still not using UTS service by railways, most of them didnt know such a thing exist.. The information centre should include advertisement of UTS app, so the people will be aware of it, which will help to reduce the queue infront of the ticket counter.. The road infront of the railway station is too narrow, and is not adequate according to the traffic expected there.. and the bus stop for the railway station is far away, so the buses will just stop infront of the station, where passengers has to stand under the sun for long time.. Inorder to solve this bus waiting shed can be constructed infornt of the station.. The parking facilities at station is too small and most of the times it will be full.. If comparing the condition of the station before five years and now, a lot of development has done and which is...
