Hotel Kwality Regency — Hotel in Chandigarh

We checked into the room at around 9 in the night and slept off at around 12 am.||When we woke up in the morning, our phone worth 50k (Iphone 6) and cash from the wallet was missing from the room and the room door was unlocked and left ajar (we had locked the room in the night and it could only have been opened with a key).||||And that is not where the outrage stops, when we informed the reception, they took absolutely zero action. They did not even round up the staff to make sure if any search could happen. ||We spent about an hour at the hotel trying to ask the manager to at least check the staff since no one else had the keys to access the room. ||||Eventually we went to the police and the police came to investigate. An investigation is on going; but the hotel staff has not taken any action on it. Not even a basic search of the hotel was done to help. ||All they have been doing is denying the incident completely even after we provided them with sufficient reason to confirm that it could not have been done by anyone from the outside.||||The phone's been off since then.||||Additionally, they only have 2 cctv cameras at the hotel, one of which doesn't work. The other one focuses on the chairs in the reception area, not even the counter. No cameras are there on the other floors. So the only CCTV footage is for two chairs and the feet of people walking by, completely useless.||||This is horrible not only because someone at the hotel entered the room while we were asleep, but also because even the senior management of the hotel is not helping us find it. They on the other hand had the audacity to check our room and turn it upside down. ||||I would really recommend people to stay off a place where not only the staff presumes to destroy the privacy of their guests, but also makes a theft of about 60000 rupees in all. Then does not help as if it is none of their business. Not a reaction I would expect from the educated senior staff...

We stayed in this hotel -three rooms from 8 to 11 Oct 2015. Unfortunately our experience has been disappointing. The hotel environment was not fresh.The owner has spent a lot of money on fitting out the hotel but the soul is missing. The service is poor and the maintenance is lacking. when we entered the rooms these were not ready; OYO kits were not in place, water glasses were missing. While taking bath the shower was throwing water all over except my body where it was needed. Another room hot water was not coming. Both rooms were changed to front side.The B/F is paltry with no choice at all; either Aloo Paratha or bread omelette, take it or leave it. Evening we ordered tea with sandwiches; clearance unduly delayed. when asked the reply was " You did not inform us". Next day the rooms were done up but we found tea/coffee/sugar/milk sachets were not replenished, tea cups were missing and so were the water glasses. It appears there is no checking of rooms to confirm all OK.The staff seemed to be with the hotel for long and seemed to have settled down in a comfortable quiescent state not even doing the routine daily work of service, upkeep & maintenance. The hotel is a budget hotel...located in sec 22 near stadium chowk...it's just 5mins walk from sec 17 ISBT and around 10mins from sec 17 admin block and sec 17 market...||Now coming to the hotel...it's not a big hotel...has around 10 rooms of different sizes...the ground floor has a dining area where breakfast is available from 7-10...||All rooms are having ac as the property is centrally air conditioned...||The room in which I checked in was the largest room of the property...got it at a off season discounted rate..{pls note: since the hotel is partnered with oyo rooms that room may not be available always)...||This room (room 201) is huge...has a minibar, the window gives u a great view of the roads...in spite of being road facing room the outside sound is minimal...and since the bed is placed at quite a distance from the window u can have a sound sleep...||And spcl mention would be the washroom...it has Victorian touch to it...from bathroom door to bathtub...the floor is of marble...||Staff is cooperative and room service is prompt...apart from clearance...they cleared my plates next day afternoon (which I kept outside)...one more drawback would be...
