OYO The Gaur Hotel — Hotel in Chandigarh

Attended a party in the basement area.

The spacing was good enough for 50-60 people. Great for small birthday parties, anniversary parties, retirement parties, kids parties, etc. Basically, small get together.

Snacks were poor in taste.

Manchurain - Only outside layering covered with gravy, the insides were tasteless, dry, rough, hard to chew. Seemed unfresh.

Paneer Tikka - Again gravy on the outside, chewing the paneer was difficult. It was not fresh. Not even crispy. Basically, hard.

Corn Spring Roll - Dry from the inside, green veggie, and corns didn't gave a good taste.

Noodles Spring Roll - These were okay.

Jaljeera - It didn't feel refreshing. Too sweet.

For dinner :

Papad : It was nice in taste.

Rice - Uncooked, and dry

Dal Makhani - It was good.

Kadhai Paneer - It was average, lot of masala and added mirch.

Salad - It was good, had just cucumber.

There is a single washroom for females. It was not much clean. Unorganized.

Services were okay. Not really good. The waiters kept standing in groups.

Infrastructure of the hotel is really very good.

Parking outside the hotel was great.

Overall, the hotel is good but the services are not good.

Gaur Chandigarh is located in sector 43 in the market which is full of hotels and restraunts. Starting with the interior's I found it to be way simple, i had huge expectations from them but they failed to impress the eyes Second thing that i found wrong is they have same restraunt for bar and dining as in its a small hall. And it looked more like a drinking place to me. Starting with the food. The food was good served at a good pace and was served hot. Highly recommend the veg and non veg platter . The salt and pepper is a dish on there menu which i appreciate the most. Overall its decent place to be . Its overpriced so i suggest getting...

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around India and the world but Gaur hotel hits the spot on providing worst experience ever. There was no cleanliness at all. There was dust on almost everything. Every single bedding item was full of stains from either food or blood. Even when they provided washed ones after asking, were the same. Changed three room in one night after complaining but same results. Eventually was given the new sheets from somewhere after complaining for hours. Had no chance to even leave the hotel due to no refund policy. Never had such...
