Hotel Maya Cottage — Hotel in Delhi

Had a bad experience before check-in itself. I had to travel Delhi for my Business trip and had booked one Deluxe Room for 3Days in this hotel for which I also made the payment through Goibibo. Since my Flight was Delayed and reached Delhi by 1:30pm, and i reached this property by 3:00P.M. On my arrival, the receptionist said there is no rooms vacant and you have to cancel your booking. How can they allot a reserved booking to somebody else?? When I co-ordinated with the Goibibo customer care, they checked about the issue. After almost 70 mins of waiting time, I was forced to cancel my booking and had to opt for some other hotel to check-in immediately. Even Goibibo has charged more than their actual tariff. The actual normal tariff of the Deluxe room is around ₹850/- to ₹900/- + Tax but where as Goibibo charges ₹1250/- + Tax and convenience fees.

My whole one day got wasted due to which I had to cancel all my meetings and appointment for that day.

Now coming to the Property and Location: For the 1st time, I booked hotel in Paharghanj, where the area is so crowded and over-noise pollution, I regretted for my mistake.

Property: Since I was not allowed to check-in into this property, I can't comment much about it but the whole area itself is not good for a good Family or a Businessman.

Later I came to know that this is very much normal practice of all Hotels...

Bummer I have to give it a star even. By far the fir titear hotel I’ve ever stayed in in Delhi. Photos on booking websites looks nothing like the actual place. Sure location is decent, but there are many hotels in this area to choose from. Holes in the sheets. We asked for new ones. They smelled of mold. Towels we were given were wet and had brown streaks on them. Shower was so gross I wouldn’t shower in it. I didn’t feel I could take my shoes off here. They wanted to charge me for water they had already in the ro that was said was included in booking, that we never opened. Trash (not trash bags) strewn throughout the halls. Wet mushy splatter in floors in halls. Fans hanging from ceilings with wires and shook when on. Worst was seemingly poop splatter o the walls in the rooms. Filth on all outlets and light switches. I was reaching Delhi in the morning needed a room to get ready to go to the office and back to my city in the evening.So booked on OYO and enquired with them about early check in they said just speak with the hotel it won't be a problem. Neways I entered and this manager guy that rude bugger made me pay 30% extra though I told him it's just one hour this guy said its rule.Then I said breakfast,he said it would be tomorrow I said I ll be leaving today only for which this ill behaved guy said it's rule.Then I had to buy the breakfast too.And the height was the room and the hotel was unbelievably filthy I kept on getting vomiting sensation till the time I was there.So these guys made me pay almost double did not give me the receipt for extra payment I made and were ready to fight on every instance like rowdy,no receipt till end .
