Hotel Shanti Plaza- By Haveliya Hotels — Hotel in Delhi

The pictures of room shown in Google are completely different as compared to reality. Don't fall for it, as it's nothing like what's shown in photos.

We booked a Premium room with twin bed and it was nothing compared to what was shown in the picture.

There was a weird/strong "seepage smell" in the whole room, which almost made me to puke. The wall had seepage, broken/torn wallpaper sheets.

The bedsheets were dirty, found some hair both on bedsheet and the blanket. We had to call the staff immediately to change the sheets.

The room is not at all spacious, you cannot move inside the room bcoz of space crunch.

The toilet had seepage smell too, exhaust fan was dysfunctional, the toilet flush button was broken, toilet seats were not clean (yellowish texture), no toilet roll and not at all hygienic.

Only the staff is helpful, they'd respond to each and every query. However, the owner or supervisor of the hotel should work on the overall maintenance of rooms, work on hygeine, and definitely should provide accurate information about the rooms on the booking applications, so that as a customer we don't feel disappointed, bcoz we had to book the hotel on immediate basis and the overall charge was quite expensive for such pathetic and unhygienic experience.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for staying with family. Also, the surrounding area is also very cheap and crowded, not at all...

We 4 people booked this hotel through online stating that same day check in and check out and asked the quote for same and fixed the rate for the room stay. Once checked in and checked out as said by the time of check out they asked to pay double the room rent which is highly ridiculous stating that ur early check in was too earlier, but we clearly communicated its going to be same day check in and same day check out but they stating according to hotel rules 6am is early check in but u checked in 4 am of the day so it considered us 2 days charge, this thing was not communicated to us earlier. Even we reconfirmed at 9am our payment is follows as discussed. That time they said yes for that. After very heated argument with the hotel management they discounted few amount later. They are not bother about the customers they only need money, what are the possible ways they want money they charge from you be careful before staying in with this hotel. We suffered a lot on charging extra payment with us at the end of the day. Washroom door was sliding door which is very hard to open and close few things are poor maintenance. I stayed at Hotel Shanti Plaza By Haveliya Hotels, Delhi on 15th December 2024, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. • The bed sheets were dirty when we checked in at 12:30 PM, and despite repeated requests to room service, they were not changed until 9:30 PM. Even then, the pillow covers were filthy, and we were told, “All bedsheets and pillows are like this.” • We requested an extra blanket, but it never arrived. • To make matters worse, I found lumps on the bed and experienced itching due to possible bedbugs. • When we raised this issue with the reception, the staff was extremely arrogant and unhelpful. They offered to change the room, but given the poor hygiene standards, we decided to check out. • Despite these problems, the hotel refused to cancel the booking or process a refund. Even Goibibo, through which we booked, was unhelpful, claiming there was no cancellation policy.

This hotel fails in basic hygiene and customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place if you care about your health...
