THIS IS FOR HOTEL EMPIRE DX, Property of the same owner. OYO Rooms 616 NDLS Gate Number 2
I booked through Oyo (LAMP4176) Feb 15, 2017 - Feb 16, 2017 Very very cheesy staff with clear over booking.
I informed them in the morning itself that i'll be arriving around 5pm and they need to get the room ready by then (that's 5 hours late from the normal checkin time). They confirmed they will. When i arrived they said "the room meant for single occupancy booking is ready but we want to give you a better large room free of charge but the bigger room will take some more time to be vacated and till then i should use the single room." I said ok. Single room? They gave me a 4x4 room with a single bed most probably meant for drivers etc... I've never thought that you could design a room out of the space meant for toilets. And they called it room for single occupancy. After i told the reception guy that i will not take it he asked me to wait for the bigger room and again had the audacity to state that "normally this the room that we allot to single occupancy but for you we are upgrading free." By my luck the owner himself arrived at the reception and he asked them to hurry it up. So, after 7 hours of supposed checkin i was allotted a room that you could call a room. At checkout the reception guy requested my phone "for oyo check" and rated the stay as 5 star without even asking me.
In Room: Best thing: they have so many sockets that i had no problems charging my laptop, phones and tabs. Best thing: Food: Quality is fine. better than many in the vicinity. In room safe doesnt work, as told by the reception staff. No English channels (was a bit surprised with this as well) Rooms are small no chairs even unless you specifically pester them for it. Clean rooms and washrooms.
I chose this due to parking facility which i got easily. Other than that i wont touch this property again.
One star for the Owner, he seemed to be a gentle, understanding and someone who seemed concerned. Sorry for the bad review sir, but I didn't like the way they tried to cheat me with 1800 single occupancy driver room. Not done at all. I frequently visit ND Railway station area about every 7-10 days for my business for 2 nights stays so i know the hotels over there and their rooms in single occupancy. I never booked a single room, i booked a full room for single occupancy. Your guys plainly tried to cheat me.
One star for food which was much better than what i had in other hotels in the vicinity.

Its proximity to the station, a mere 200 meters westwards, makes it an excellent choice for travelers arriving by train. For those seeking convenient access to the city's extensive metro network, the hotel is within walking distance of the metro station. However, it is advisable to cross through the railway overbridge to reach the metro station, ensuring a hassle-free and safe journey. The hotel offers double rooms with separate beds, catering to the preferences of various guests. Our room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting space to unwind after a day of exploring the city. The hotel's pricing is reasonable and aligns well with the excellent location and services provided. Guests can rest assured that they are receiving good value for their money. The bathroom, like the rest of the room, was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Toiletries were readily available, eliminating the need for guests to bring their own. The air conditioning in the room functioned perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the hot Indian summers. The hotel's recent renovation was evident in the modern and stylish décor of the rooms. The overall ambiance was fresh and inviting. Despite its location in the bustling city center, the hotel effectively blocked out any external noise, providing a peaceful retreat for guests. Our overall experience at the hotel was overwhelmingly positive. The hotel's convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms, and attentive staff made it an ideal choice for our stay in New Delhi. We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and hassle-free accommodation option in the heart...
Read moreI’ve been client from June 6 to June 14. However this hotel was such a disaster that I decided to leave earlier, two days before despite having already paid for the bill.||So first of all, important to note that at the reception the guy only asked me to modify the dates of my booking, so he would be charged less. I of course refused, since I wouldn’t be refunded.||Basically this is my experience:||- When I arrived, I’ve been correctly received by one people who kindly helped me to withdraw money from an ATM. Please note that you will be charged 1200 roupies for the trip from the airport to the hotel, where as calling Uber will cost you approximately 3 times less.||- The soft that you will get is something like a soda or redbull.||- The room I was initially given didn’t have any A/C working. After one day I was moved to another room, which was cleaned only one time out of six days despite me requesting up to the manager.||- There was a smell of toxicity in the room that seemed to be in the whole floor. Never got an explanation of what was happening.||- My mistake: breakfast wasn’t included in the booking, however I was never reminded. Also, when charging the breakfast the reception tried to charge me again for the trip from the airport to the hotel. Their mistake.||- So much noise: People shouting at 02:00 AM.||- The gym is very small, but works.||- Location is really bad, super crowded. You will get ages to move from any place to there.||- Electricity falling down approximately every 30 minutes for a few days. Manager said that it was a problem everywhere in Delhi, but that’s not true.||- Breakfast is average. Not good, but not bad||I think I would rather sleep outside than going back to this...
