I went to this place on an Oyo booking and by far this ia the worst oyo property that I have ever lived in. Let me inundate the experiences qhich I had.||||1. The hotel has no proper parking except a space just infront of the reception which they have most probably encroached upon and which can house only 3 cars at one time. So if your car is not amongst one of the three then goodluck finding proper parking in the crowded Paharganj. ||||2. The linen which they provided me was with two holes in the bedsheet and one in the blanket. The blanket was full of ants(red ones) and it stank. It felt so rough as if it was made of dried grass. The towel was dirty.||||3. The TV doesn't work. They have not subscribed to any channels and the only channel it shows is the one of that particular operator on which advertisements are run 24*7. ||||4. The AC doesn't function as it is supposed to. You cannot switch it on from the room. Firstly, you have to inform the guy at the reception and then only he will switch it on from there. Plus there is no remote to regulate the temperature or the fan speed so you are pretty much at their mercy. ||||5. There is no buffet breakfast spread. Atleast not like I am used to. There are 5 choices for breakfast as per the menu kept in each room- 1. Aloo Puri 2. Aloo parantha 3. Bread toast 4. Bread Omelette 5. Veg Sandwich. Also, as per the menu a customer can order just one selection per person and he/she will.be charged extra if they order more than that. The situation would have been salvageable if the food was good but alas! It is so so far away from even being average. ||||6. The room which I got had a toilet with the cover of it's concealed cistern missing. So I had to pull at the lever after each flush otherwise the water would continue to flow in the toilet. And let's not talk about the pathetic condition of the washroom. ||||7. The owner and the guy at the reception are some.of the biggest cgeats that I have ever seen. The owner took my friend's phone through which the booking had been made at checkout on the pretext of sorting out some GST matter and later it turned out that he had given himself a 5 star rating on the Oyo app. ||||||All in all, this was a terrible experience and I would niy like anyone else to go through this. I had gone there on some work basis so I would leave at around 8 in the morning and then come by 10-11 in the night so I needed the room just for sleeping. The only USP of the hotel is it's location, just 1.5 kms from CP. ||||So my final verdict, go to this hotel only if you are feeling adventurous and want to experience the worst which the hospitality industry...
Read moreHotel R continental, one of the worst properties I been to so far. My advice is not to book this one. A one night stay was all it took to come to this realisation. The property is pretty old. It's located on the main road and has excellent accessibility in terms of location. Once you move in, the troubles start. The desk don't accept digital payment via card. The rooms are pathetic with broken furniture. Drawers missing handles. Mica peeling from tables. Dirty chair. A broken bed supported by brick as can be seen. The loo seat was broken. Cannot guess wen the bathroom was last cleaned. The boiler for hot water doesn't work. The bath towels have wornout out. The tube light is fused, it flickers and dies on you. The key chain to the room is broken. The fan performs only at high speed. Didn't check the ac as the weather was fortunately cold. As payment was already made and had to crash for a nite, couldn't do much about it as all other rooms where almost in same condition. Paid Rs.773/- for one night stay, no bf or dinner inclusive. The food menu booklet was torn and abused to core. Didn't dare to ask even for tea.Eat out and was a better bargain. Conclusion: there are loads of better options then this property. Don't go by the photos online posted by the hotel. Look at customer reviews and pics and then...
Read moreA hotel I would not recommend to anyone, even if you are looking for a budget stay in Delhi. Booked my stay via OYO rooms.
Rooms are functional and basic. The toilet in my room was barely functional. The service here is passable but the staff is intrusive and rude. They have the issue of switching off air cons and not turning them on back. You need to inform the reception to switch it on. The bed is comfy but the sheets are stained. The pillows are non existent and feel like lumps of cotton stuffed in a cover.
The locality isn't great and is run down. You have open sewage running in front of the hotel. The food here is nothing to write about and thankful I did not get a case of Delhi Belly. They also DO NOT accept debit or credit cards with the stupid excuse that the card machine isn't working and on further checking it emerged that they prefer cash payments.
The hotel also refused to give me a bill for my expenses. After a lot of time, they gave me once. The reluctance is on account of the taxes they need to file. This hotel is a dump and best avoided.
Overall,...
