LEGENDARY CHOLE BHATURE WORTH EVERY BITE!**

If Delhi had a national dish, it would be Sita Ram’s Chhole Bhature. For over 75 years, this unassuming gem has perfected this Punjabi classic, and one bite tells you why they’re iconic.

🌟 The CHHOLE (Spiced Chickpeas): Magical. Simmered in a gravy rich with caramelized onions, tomatoes, yogurt, and a secret spice blend (think anardana, cinnamon, dried ginger), these chickpeas are buttery-soft and bursting with layers of flavor—tangy, earthy, and subtly sweet. The recipe hasn’t changed since 1947, and you taste every decade of wisdom in that gravy.

🌟 The BHATURE (Fried Bread): UNREAL. These aren’t just fried dough—they’re clouds of joy. Stuffed with spiced paneer, cumin, and coriander, they puff up golden and crisp, yet tear open to reveal a steamy, tender interior. Perfectly greaseless and fragrant, they’re the ideal vessel for scooping up those heavenly chhole.

🧅 The TRIO THAT ELEVATES IT: Raw onions for sharp freshness House-pickled carrots in tangy brine A squeeze of lemon Together, they cut through the richness and create flavor fireworks. Don’t skip a single bite!

💰 Value? ABSURD. At ₹200–300 per plate, this is a steal for a meal that’s deeply satisfying, historically significant, and prepared with zero shortcuts.

⏳ More Than Food – It’s Heritage: Eating here is stepping into Delhi’s soul. The tiny shop buzzes with energy—office workers, families, and celebrities all jostle for a spot. The speed? Lightning-fast. The legacy? Unbroken since Partition. As the owner says: "We treat humble ingredients with respect." That respect shines through.

This isn’t just street food—it’s a cultural pilgrimage. For the fluffiest bhature, the most soulful chhole, and a taste of old Delhi’s heart, Sita Ram is unbeatable. Arrive early

Must-try: The paneer-stuffed bhature with extra pickles! Ready to copy-paste to Google, Zomato, or...

If you are a true lover of North Indian street food, especially Chole Bhature, then Sita Ram Diwan Chand is a name that needs no introduction. Located in Delhi, this iconic eatery has been serving its legendary plate of Chole Bhature for decades, and the taste still holds the same magic that has won the hearts of generations.

The bhature here are simply perfect – not too oily, soft yet slightly crisp on the edges, and with just the right texture that complements the spicy, tangy, and flavorful chole. The chole is cooked to perfection with a secret blend of spices that give it a unique taste you won’t find anywhere else. What makes the experience even more special is the consistency – every plate tastes just as good as the last one.

The portion size is generous, and the food is always served hot and fresh, which enhances the overall experience. Along with chole bhature, they also serve pickles, chutneys, and salad that add an extra zing to the meal. Despite the crowd that gathers here daily, the service is quick, efficient, and friendly.

One of the highlights of Sita Ram Diwan Chand is its unbeatable value for money. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get, making it a go-to spot for students, locals, and tourists alike. The place is often crowded, especially during breakfast and lunch hours, but the wait is absolutely worth it.

In short, Sita Ram Diwan Chand is not just a food joint, it’s an institution. If you visit Delhi and miss out on this legendary chole bhature, your trip is incomplete. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste the true flavor of Delhi’s...

Every year or sometimes more than once in a year I visit certain city just to explore it's food. That remains my only agenda of visiting a particular place. This time it is the country's capital Delhi. On the first day started with a place that is very much close to every delhite & a dish that I think we all know & eat but has been Delhi's all time favorite breakfast, lunch & dinner Dish i.e Chole Bhature. Chole Bhature can be found at every nook & corner of delhi you cannot miss this dish here it's like literally everywhere. I tried it at one of the oldest kitchen & highly recommend place i.e at Sita Ram Divan Chand. The joint I visited only serves one dish i.e Chole (Chana) & Bhature. I ordered a plate & a lassi which costed me INR 100. There is no place to sit you have to stand & eat. It is like an Indian QSR which I like & self service place. One can get it's order in less than 5 minutes at this place. Now coming to their food. I was expecting full blown bhatura's but that was not the case. Their bhatura's have filling of paneer in them & pre fried, only to be heated before serving. Their chole was a perfect mixture of spices & had potato also in them. The combination is really heavy on your stomach, I thought differently & regretted later. One should have lassi with it to gulp down all the oil & sooth your throat.

Went early morning to have chhole bhature from this very well known place. I've been hearing about it since quite a while, so finally i tried it out. I wasn't expecting it to be open but it was open around 8:30-9 am as well.. They don't have a sitting, but they do have these tables where you can stand and eat. They have kept pickle, onions and tissues there.. I had a plate of chhole bhature with lassi 1) Chhole- 9 ( 80/- chhole bhature plate) Served in "Dona" with some peppermint chutney on top ( I'm not sure though, that's how it tasted. Somewhat greyish in colour) 2) Bhature- 9 It was something different, I've not had something like this ever before, and I'm a huge chhola bhatura fan, so trust me, I've tried at alot of places. It was kind of stuffed with panner and boiled potato i guess. They don't just give it to you right out of kadhai.. it didn't look like a fully friend and fulla hua bhatura . It tastes different but good kind of different 3) Sweet lassi- 10 (Rs.40/-) super yummy loved it They were pretty warm asked us to eat first and then pay rather than taking the payment first, sweet. They have their history on the walls and it made me feel good to see our Indian citizens grow. I wish they had a proper air-conditioned seating arrangement though. I have also added a photo of their rates. So you can check it out.
