I honestly do not understand these good recommendations here. After going through many of them, some do also talk about fake recommendations, which I don’t know but could imagine. Our stay at this hotel was okay, nothing more. The cleanliness is far away from western standards but for Indian standards acceptable - but as I said far away from 10/10 or 5/5 recommendations. The location is pretty awful but this is true for every hotel in Pahaganj so people booking in that region must be aware of dirt especially around the train station.
First to the good things: friendly and helping staff Hotel Manager helped us to book a triangle tour and was very supportive - everything worked out really well (even though it was for the purpose of sales) early check in which was good as we arrived early in the morning from the airport
What we didn’t like: location Lacking cleanliness Breakfast Laundry service
Some more details in the laundry service because this really annoyed us the most: we have our stuff for laundry in the morning and we’re assured we would get everything perfectly back by 8pm. When we returned at 9 from our tour stuff was not ready. No problem, we waited. 10, 11 pm, still no clothes. We wanted to get our staff, pack and sleep as our flight was 2am. Didn’t work out. We got our laundry back at 01:20, still moist, all white clothes were not white anymore and one of our T-shirts which was brand new (100$) was totally destroyed, all colour on it was spread on the white T-shirt. Adding to this, the staff marked all of our staff with our room number into each clothes tag. So I got all my stuff marked now with the room number I had in that hotel. We talked to the staff about that and were extremely pissed. Only got our money from laundry bag, but no further compensation. In general we had the impression that the stuff was not allowed to take any action in whatever issue, if not prior talked to the manager. The other day I messaged the Hotel manager concerning this and it took nearly 3 weeks with lot of discussions, messages and phone calls from my side until we were reimbursed with 50$ which is a pity considering that all of the other stuff is ruined. If I had not insisted in that the hotel would not have done anything to compensate at all.
Would I book again? Even putting the laundry thing aside the question is definitely NO. Value and price are definitely...

All the facilities in the room work well and of good quality. It’s quiet considering it’s located in a noisy area.
The room is very clean. The bedsheets covers and towels, look and feel like they were washed compared to some other hotels that I’ve stayed in and the linen and towels looks dirty and smells like they haven’t been washed.
The security guard is courteous and friendly. He watched out for me and warned me about the roughness of the neighborhood, and not to walk around holding the phone in my hand.
24 hour hotel service is responsive and fast, even though the quality of service is lacking, as in many times it’s not what I requested per examples below.
The huge overhead heavenly rain shower has great pressure, massive water coverage, plenty of hot water, definitely the best I’ve had in India.
Cons:
I requested for a room with the window that can open and the receptionist called me“choosy”. I don’t think that’s appropriate or professional.
I asked for a quilt to be remove the quilt four times before it’s actually done.
Repeatedly sending the wrong food, asked for straw there’s no straw. Asked for spicy there’s no chili (fresh or sauce) in it at all and food came completely plain. Asked for mixed veggie stirfry. I got veggie with Paneer curry
Gave me store bought orange ice cream, and say that it’s butterscotch ice cream.
Found what appears to be small strips of plastics in the food.
The food trays are super dirty.
The staff ignored the do not disturb sign three times especially when I specifically asked not to be disturbed. I asked Reception for more toilet paper one time and said specifically just leave it outside my room and please do not disturb me. I put the do not disturb sign on the door. A few minutes later a staff member came and knocked on my door!!
It’s a pretty good hotel for the area but services and communication...
Read moreLOCATION: Located in the bustling area of Pahadgunj its more a kind of OYO experience. The best part is that its walking distance from the New Delhi railway station. Its easy to find as its not too much in the interiors. The advantage is that there are a large number of eating places just a 2min walk away so you can explore the area too
COSTING Ranging from 1200/- to 3000/-a night its almost the same as any other hotel in the area.
AMBIANCE: Its not a fancy hotel very matter of fact but yes its clean. The bed size is mega which is that actually three people can sleep comfortably. They have all the regular stuff like a mini bar and a place to make your own tea and coffee. Storage space is good as they have a large rack right at the entry of the room. This helps with people travelling heavy.
THE PEOPLE Being in a very sensitive location like central Delhi right next to the main Rajiv Chalk (Connaught Place) They are very particular about your travel documents and ID which is a very good thing. Even if you have guests visiting and you would like to take them up to your room, they will need to show some ID. Most preferred is the Aadhar card and they take a copy and add in your name to the register. So security is extremely good.
The people at the front desk are very polite and helpful and the manager is always alert and around to pitch in.
FOOD Very normal menu but works epically if you are tired and don't want to go out. Though I would recommend going out into the main streets of Pahadgunj and exploring the amazing food options, pub options and shopping...
