My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, mainly as a base to travel to Agra (Taj Mahal) and largely only used the hotel for sleeping in. ||Pros:||Check-in was fine, and the reception area was fairly welcoming. Note that the hotel is off the Main Street and quite narrow with a lot of traffic flowing through - be careful!||The room was on the 3rd floor, and the hotel does operate elevators. The porter was very polite and friendly and gave a brief introduction to the room.||The hotel arranged for a few items to be washed, which they did with no hassle AND free of charge!||Finally, I requested an early morning taxi and the hotel arranged it for approx. £8 to the airport (less than an Uber).||Cons:||The hotel is quite dated in general, and do not expect luxury, or ‘deluxe’ as the name would suggest. ||The room, whilst reasonably sized and reasonably well equipped - was very aged and a little dirty. The bedsheets had scribbled writing on them and dirt marks, there were signs of dirt/mold all over the bathroom and the flush to the toilet when pressed, would not go off, firstly leading to a call to maintenance followed by a self-fix! ||Overall, I paid just over £50 a night as there were very limited options (less than £1000 p/n) available at short notice in Delhi, and with an early train to catch to Agra, the only reasonable hotel around. As far as a value for money, I would say if you’re used to 4/5, then avoid! However, if you are willing to compromise on a few ‘less than acceptable’ issues as above, then it’s not a terrible option, particularly compared to others in the...
Read moreVery nice hotel, would definitely recommend staying here. The majority of people who stay here are from other countries. I'm staying here whilst touring Delhi for a few days. I did not expect it to be as good as it is. From outside it is very unassuming, but once inside it is quite an elegant, albeit small hotel. I think there are about 12 rooms on each floor. There are 4 floors of rooms, and the 5th floor is where breakfast is served. As we entered we were offered a complementary welcome drink which was quite a nice touch.
The rooms are all designed, clean, elegant decor, and generously spacious. Small signs of wear and tear, but that is to be expected. Nothing that puts you off. There is a fridge in each room, a table and arm chair, a wardrobe, central AC, tea and coffee, kettle and some complementary snacks. The bathroom is nice and clean, well layed out, a bit smaller than some hotels i have been to, but large enough to be comfortably.
We had the complementary breakfast which was nice, not too many options, but enough to keep everyone happy. The cardamom tea is to die for.
The road on which this hotel is situated is a bit small, and i notice some reviews have complained about difficulties getting big cars up to the hotel, but i found that our car, a Toyota innova managed to get to the door fine, and every time it came to pick us up as well.
Overall, a very nice hotel, would definitely stay again, and would recommend strongly for anyone looking for a decently priced but very nice...
Read moreThey Offer free airport pick up to their clients, that’s very good since Delhi has a very poor reputation of scammers waiting for tourist at the airport, the hotel even sent me an mail on how to avoid those. We took the airport transfer and it was quick and efficient. I’ve we got there absolutely every hotel worker helped me without asking, we were travelling with 6 pieces of luggage. Fast check in, room was big enough for 2 and clean. Equipped with complimentary drinks and snacks. No need to worry about get food outside at late times, they very own food service is available until 12am, local food and American food is available for a very fair prices, the breakfast is very variated and delicious, again the service was amazing.
Be aware of their tourist agency offering tours. I don’t think this is directly related to the hotel but they will do everything to get your money promising you visit places that then you’ll never visit because “there is no time enough and it’s already dark” I took the Taj Mahal + agra fort tour, leaving the hotel at 10am I have doubts that we have time to visit both, I was told not to worry, then i only have time to visit the Taj Mahal and no money back was given to me. Their...
