I made a reservation for this hotel for a day (12-13th Aug). The central reservation team convinced me to buy the ITC membership and also opt for the executive room which came with additional benefits. The additional benefits were: Free breakfast for two Access to club happy hours (unlimited IMFL and COCKTAIL (confirmed twice on call) drinks for an hour) I requested for an early check-in to which they confirmed that it will be subject to availability. On 12th August, I did not receive any call from the hotel for the confirmation about my request for early check-in. When enquired, they kept repeating that it will be subject to availability. When I asked them about the availability at the moment, they said we won't be able to check. I reached the hotel around 2:30PM and I don't know why there are frequent garbage trucks that pass the hotel's main entrance making it smell weird. There were a couple of cars on the gate and certain photographers due to some Mrs. India event. The entire lobby was very crowded. The valet took a considerable time to take my car. There was no one to carry my luggage. I picked my bag and gave it to the security for scanning. After which I picked it up again myself and went to the reception who were acting rude and I was asked to wait. After more than 30 mins of waiting, the staff escorted me to my room. The room was spacious but it smelled like narcotic substances. I understand it was a smoking room but there was a foul smell in the room. The quilt in the room was dirty inside the cover. There was no hot water which I complained about but even after adjusting the temperature it was lukewarm. The pool was closed which was never told to me while making the reservation. Even when I asked about the pool timings specifically. I confirmed about the happy hour timings and about inclusion of cocktails. I was told that the happy hour is 7-8PM and cocktails are included. I went to the restaurant at around 7:30PM. No one came and attended. I had to ask the receptionist to send someone. The waiter came having no idea about the IMFL drinks in the menu. Also he denied that no cocktails are included. When I asked him to give me the list of drinks I can order, he gave me a piece of paper which had like 5-6 alcohols (Black Dog, Bacardi White, Greater than, Kingfisher Premium, Budweiser). And I was told they will be served with either water/coke/sprite. There is some construction going on in/around the hotel which ruins the view and can be heard in the rooms too. For the breakfast, I was a bit late (around 9:30AM) which is a peak time. But there was a waiting of around 10-12 tables. The management was poor and there was a big queue in front of the restaurant. After waiting, when I entered the restaurant the variety in food was very less especially meat section. Sausages and salamis were almost finished every time. The glasses for juice kept running out. The staff was too less to handle the crowd.
Overall, I had a pathetic experience of staying at Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels. I would urge everyone to prefer other hotels over this. I am not sure if it was due to the event that they were hosting or something else, but I am never visiting this...
Read moreRecently I booked this property for a three-night stay with family. It was a horrible experience. Did a check at night 9 PM, Though there were a lot of people at the front desk no one knows the welcome etiquette. I have to stand in the reception just like an unnoticed and unwelcome guest. My family was tired from the Journey but we kept standing to fill all the reservation formalities. Next, we reach the room on the 12 floor to see a wonderful surprise, the room has a broken wardrobe, broken mirror, and used toilet. broken electrical panel and a dirty carpet. when I asked for the manager Mr. Rahul came and apologized, and within some time we are given another room which was a bit bigger and better but same yellow toilets with old fillings with poor-quality of toiletries. Later we went out to have dinner in Kebabs & Kurries where we met with a friendly rat running around the corner. Hopeless setup.
One good out of all the bad, linens are very clean nit and tidy and the housekeeping is very polite and professional.
This is a completely messed up hotel with no gym even the swimming pool was closed due to some reason, and no Spa, or steam/ sauna, you will never feel like being in the hotel as there is no facility and moreover, it is cramped up. It’s actually spoiling the name of ITC.
Late in the lobby, we got to speak with Pooja she informed us that the hotel is under renovation. My question is if you are aware of your hopeless setup then why are you accepting bookings and keeping them overpriced? More importantly, you have completely spoiled my family’s leisure holiday.
Cannot recommend this property to anyone. Please be more aware and careful before booking this property as you can get better hospitality by paying less in...
Read moreI had been to welcomeITC Dwarka, on 29th May 2023 with my relatives from USA in a group of 14 peoples. Stayed there for a single night on my way to Gangtok. The person at the desk during checkin time was absolutely new and non co-operative. We had booked 6 rooms around 15-20 days in advance via YATRA travels. Blunder 1 - These people landed up giving me rooms on 3 different floors.
Blunder 2 - Since 2-3 people in a room and each one wants a freedom to move in and out my brother in law from USA asked the desk person for an additional electronic key. Guess what the desk person flatly denied and on insisting he started arguing for it.
Blunder 3 - This hotel lifts has security feature where the electronic key will work for our own allocated floor only in the lift and not on any other floor. At late night when I wanted to go to other room on another floor, guess what we were not given access to each other’s floor. Pathetic
Blunder 4: Since we all had an early morning flight, I was supposed to leave the hotel by 5:00 AM thus I asked the desk person in night itself saying that we will be leaving early at 4:30 am thus please be ready for our checkout formalities so that we do not get delayed. Guess what I was in a hurry in the morning to pull my luggage out getting ready and I went out of room and could not get in, my keys were disabled at 4:30 AM without me checking out. The keys disabled thus stuck in lobby and cannot even call the front desk from room number.
We get into 5 * hotels for convenience and easy of things to happen but my experience was really very bad with the service...
