Beach edge calangute — Hotel in Goa

We booked this property on Agoda after being misled by fake reviews and what seemed like a good deal. Unfortunately, the experience was awful from the moment we arrived around midnight.

The caretaker asked us to park elsewhere and demanded ₹200 for paid parking – however on app while booking it was mentioned mentioned free parking. Despite traveling with a toddler, we were told they didn’t even have drinking water available. Totally unacceptable.

The room we were given was on the second floor of a building with no lift, which was a struggle with a child and luggage. The condition of the room was even worse – towels and bedsheets had a foul smell, and we saw cockroaches crawling on the kitchen platform. It was extremely unhygienic and disappointing.

Agoda needs to take responsibility for verifying listings and filtering out fake or misleading reviews. This stay was nothing like what was promised. Strongly advise others to avoid this property and double-check reviews before booking...

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Money I paid nearly 40K+ for what turned out to be a subpar, hostel-like accommodation. Aside from the location being close to Calangute Beach, there’s nothing great about this place. The property is poorly maintained, unfurnished, and the main hall only had a big bed – no amenities or comfort as expected for the price.

The hosts seemed more focused on making extra money by pushing overpriced packages for nearby islands and activities. After speaking with other guests, we realized we were overcharged and felt completely cheated.

The claim of free parking is false – they demanded ₹200 for parking upon arrival. I had to argue with them about this, which added unnecessary stress.

There’s no proper reception, and if you need assistance, the staff are rarely around.

Overall, this trip was disappointing. Greedy locals and excessively high food prices made the experience worse. Save your money and look for better...
