I wonder how did they even name it as a resort !? Its my third time in Goa and trust me this is the worst hotel i could have ever seen in my entire life . The moment you enter your room mark my words you will find cockroaches and a variety of insects ( depends on how many days u stay , because in my 5 days stay I almost found 3 kinds of insects) unfortunately i couldn't click pictures and post it as a proof ! Next coming to the bed , the have the world's worst matters , they could get their names written for it in the Guinness book of records for having the worst matters in the entire world , by the end of my trip I have ended up with back pain . The have a LCD tv which will never ever work . There is not a single person to respond to if you have any issues . Even if there is power cut don't worry this resort will make you feel like home coz they don't have diesel in the generators. A cupboard which should actually be kept in museum's , half broken and very hard to open the door . They mentioned they had a balcony well exciting is what i thought, you slide open the balcony door ( would take you approximately 10 mins as they are rusted) and you find spiders and web on the chairs and lots and lots of dust on the table and then comes the BATHROOM, where i got locked along with a cockroach and finally when my husband managed somehow to get me out of it and we went to the reception they replied in a very cool manner .. "yes that happens at time you have to open it with a coin if you get locked " and the receptionist smiled at me and i was so already vexed up with them and finally decided to just let it go and take a shower, entered the bathroom and found some dirty insect in the bucket and the shower was broken , no soap , no towels and when asked for the basic things we got 1 water bottel a day , 2 very very very small 'medimix' and 2 dirty towels which we actually used it as mat coz they seemed really dirty & FINALLY the management was asking to give 5 star rating for all these "WONDERFUL" services they provided. When raised a concern the management responded saying please put this on google reviews and the higher management will take care of it ..... !!!! THE WORST HOTEL TO STAY IN , WAS REALLY MY MISTAKE TO BELIEVE THEM AND FOR GOD SAKE PLEASE REMOVE THE WORD 'RESORT' FROM YOUR...
Read moreI stayed in the hotel in Candolim which is at the top of Beach Road whereas the photos of the hotel show the one in Calangute. The entrance and position of the hotel are very convenient for the beach, restaurants, and shops. The price of the room is also competitive with other hotels in the area. However the hotel is shabby and has seen better days.Unlike the photos showing attractive loungers around the pool, there are old rickety chairs I was afraid to sit on.Similarly, with the pool the ladder to get into the water is unsafe and many tiles are coming off the sides of the pool so that I was unsure about touching the edge for fear of cutting myself.|There are permanently large bags of dirty laundry in the reception area and getting the room cleaned is seemed as more of a luxury than a necessity. The sheets are very thin, gray and not large enough to cover the bed.During my week stay in the hotel I didn't have hot water and on day two the cover fell off the air conditioning but nobody came to look at it.I had a delicious omelette my first morning but the table wasn't properly set and I had to keep asking for basic things to a point where I felt intimidated. This also occurred when I asked for some hot water and was waved away while the second manager got back to his phone.I was also instructed to write the hotel a good review on trip advisor. |As this review sounds damning I would like to say that the hotel feels safe and as a solo traveller this was important. However after a friend left a note for me at reception I was later instructed by management that visitors were not allowed in rooms.I felt like a teenager in a backpackers hostel.Even the wake -up call I requested didn't occur as the boy was asleep.Thankfully the taxi I booked came.If you're a teenager with pretty low standards this hotel will suit...
