Hi, If you’re in Goa and craving authentic wood-fired pizza, Baked in Goa is the place to be! This hidden gem offers an amazing blend of flavors, fresh ingredients, and a cozy ambiance that makes for a perfect dining experience.
The pizzas here are absolutely delicious, made with a thin, crispy-yet-chewy crust that has the perfect char from the wood-fired oven. The fresh mozzarella, homemade tomato sauce, and high-quality toppings elevate the flavors. I tried the Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas, and both were spot on! The cheese was perfectly melted, the crust had a nice crunch, and the flavors were well-balanced.
This is as authentic as it gets! The use of wood fire cooking gives the pizzas a smoky, rustic taste that you won’t find in regular ovens. You can tell they put effort into sourcing fresh ingredients and crafting pizzas the traditional way.
The restaurant has a laid-back, Goan vibe with a mix of rustic and modern decor. The outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a breezy evening. The warm lighting and wooden interiors add to the cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was quick, and the staff made great recommendations based on our preferences. They even gave insights into their pizza-making process, which was a nice touch.
Everything was spotlessly clean, from the dining area to the kitchen. The plates, cutlery, and tables were well-maintained, and the open kitchen setup allowed us to see how hygienically the food was being prepared.
Located in a prime yet peaceful spot in Goa, Baked in Goa is easy to find and perfect for a relaxed meal. It’s close to popular beaches, making it an ideal stop after a long day of exploring.

Read moreAfter reading some glowing reviews online, I decided to check out this restaurant during my visit to Goa, and I’m glad I did! It’s tucked in a cozy corner near Calangute, just a short walk away from the bustling beach area. The ambiance of the place is very inviting—chilled and comfortable, with ample seating that ensures you can relax without feeling cramped. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, with just the right touch of warmth to make you feel at home.
One of the highlights of this place is its wood-fired oven, which certainly lives up to its reputation. The flavors of the dishes that come out of the oven are rich, smoky, and delicious. Whether you’re craving a classic pizza or something more adventurous, the oven-cooked meals really stand out.
Another dish that truly impressed me was the Watermelon and Feta Salad—a perfect blend of sweet and salty, and so refreshing. It was the ideal way to kick off the meal, especially in the warm Goan weather.
I also tried their Sangria, which was quite good, though the fruit pieces were cut in larger chunks than I would have preferred. This made it a little harder to enjoy them as part of the drink, but the flavor of the sangria itself was still very pleasant and refreshing.
For dessert, I had the Blueberry Cheesecake, and while it was fine, it didn’t quite blow me away. It was decent but not exceptional—just an average end to an otherwise enjoyable meal.
To add to the fun, the restaurant also has a pool table, which is a great way to unwind after a meal or to enjoy with friends. The place wasn’t crowded when I visited, which made the experience even more relaxed.
Overall, this restaurant offers a great combination of delicious food, a cozy atmosphere, and a laid-back vibe. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a good meal in Calangute without the usual hustle and bustle of the more...
Read moreI visited Baked in Goa on the night of 23rd December 2024 at around 10:20 PM, and I regret to say that it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had.
We ordered 1 pizza and 2 iced teas, and the food was fine. But after finishing, we waited for about 5 minutes for the bill. Once we received it, I paid through Swiggy Dineout—something I thought was perfectly fine, as it's listed on their platform.
I waited for an additional 10 minutes, expecting some acknowledgment or confirmation from the waiter, but no one showed up. I then saw a staff member at the counter and approached him to inform him that I had already made the payment via Swiggy Dineout. His response was completely unprofessional and rude—"Who told you to pay on Swiggy? You should've asked me first!".
There was no indication anywhere (neither on the menu nor when the bill was handed over) that they do not accept Swiggy Dineout payments. If they don't accept it, why is it even listed on the Swiggy platform? He told me to contact Swiggy for a refund, but this led to an exhausting and time-consuming process. I had to call Swiggy 4-5 times, and after almost 2 hours, I still haven’t received a refund.
To make matters worse, the staff member (a dark, heavy-set guy) made me pay the bill again and showed absolutely no manners in dealing with the situation. His lack of professionalism and rude behavior left me incredibly frustrated.
Baked in Goa really needs to address their service issues. Either inform customers clearly about payment methods or remove Swiggy Dineout from their platform if they don't accept it. There's no excuse for such confusion or poor handling of a simple payment issue.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The terrible customer service overshadowed the food, and the whole experience was a hassle from...
