Boatys Beach Cottage & Restaurant — Hotel in Goa

A long one but please read till the end for context:||Calangute beach is one of the most sought after location for staying with a viewpoint of an orthodox Indian tourist (not traveler).||It has water sports, conventional/formal hotels with decent facilities, flea markets, clubbing options ( Titto's lane of Baga beach is less than a couple of kms) and lots and lots of people. It is like The Mall road of Shimla or Manali. ||If you don't prefer everything as per the standard textbook then go to extreme North or South of Goa cuz this part is swamped with textbook people. ||||But if you would want a peaceful family/friendly place and still prefer clubbing and water sports facilities to be a whisker away then Boaty's is THE Place for you. ||The entire setup is built up from scratch by Captain Manny Fernandes and his boys (Rehan and others) with their own hands. ||The friendly staff, casual atmosphere, colorful yet subtle decor would make you feel the essence of this small but v sweet venture. ||The cottages are not upfront on the beach but not one of any other setup is as close to the beach as Boaty's. You have to walk less than 50 steps to be in front of beach.||If you don't expect a lavish treatment like hotels but a homely environment then you would enjoy because of following ||* the kitchen is open to anyone and the team would rather help you in preparing stuff||* you can chill in the lawn or have your food in open on the tables or just to do nothing || and enjoy the music ||* you can interact with staff or other residents as it doesn't get too formal || or noisy like other hotels ||* the cleanliness, maintenance and the basic facilities are top notch considering the || size of the setup ||||Overall, it is a great setup with only downside that it's not as easy on pocket as expected by young travelers but considering the maintenance costs required for running business, they charge a...
