Goa Adventures is an aggregator agency and they allot you to various agencies which actually carry out the water sports activities. My invoice carried name of Shivaay Travels. The cost of the package is highly negotiable as I saw that people have booked full package from 1600 to 2700 rupees. I have booked for 2300 rupees. They pick you up from your hotel by bus but there is no guarantee of seat in the bus as it passes through many locations. We boarded at Calangute. After arriving at the Jetty point, a briefing is carried out by Mr Manish and with respect to Scuba few of the points though important but may scare you. There is nothing to be scared. I felt it was an attempt to make you opt for scuba suit costing 300 rupees per head. The boat which ferries you to a Grand Island will have 35 people approximately and will offer extremely light breakfast. We were offered Veg Patties and a water Bottle. The boat waited for many guests and time punctuality was not adhered to. We group of 15 boarded boat at 9.45 but boat started at 10.40 only wasting our precious time as others were still trickling in. On reaching they anchor the boat near the island. You cannot get down on island and hence people opting only for island tour will continue to sit in the boat or jump for swimming with life jacket. Scuba Diving is basic and gives you just a feel of what an underwater life is. You cannot hope more within the package cost which is quite cheap but it is worth an experience for first timers. The video is shot of approx 45 seconds and shared but it doesnt capture video of depth but only of initial few metres, thereafter, videographer shoots video of another participant. Overall, it is well coordinated. However, you will have to pay 100/- for cap in case you want to wear and extra cost for any additional attempt. Goa Adventures mentioned in their SMS that one or two more attempts will be offered for free if time permits but that was not the case. After entire group completes scuba, they move near to BagoMalo Beach for remaining activities which can also be done at various beaches in North and South Goa. As part of package, though it is cheap. However, you are made to do only Scuba, Jet Ski, Bumper Ride, Para Sailing and Banana Ride. There was no Snorkeling, Kayaking or Speed Boat activity. While on move for water sports activities they offered you lunch. It is extremely basic lunch in paper plates, though unlimited but they carry limited quantity and you will also not feel having too much. We were confirmed that two pints of beer will be served during lunch, however, they gave stupid excuse and served only cold drinks which was just not done and though I emailed them for some refund, they never replied to my email. There was delay of 45 minutes for conducting parasailing and hence we could reach jetty point at 6.30 pm only. Nevertheless, overall we enjoyed as we were part of the group and did Scuba...
Read moreThe worst place to contact for water sports. The rides were less that 30 sec per person. Not enough required safety precautions and care. The promised menu of food was not provided and the dining conditions were really poor with the food waste creating a lot of smell in the boat. Moreover the food in the afternoon made many people sick and also was served in a very unhygienic manner.
Scuba diving was the only part which was given more than a minute and the photos taken by them were good. This is the only part I liked.
The time table that was informed was not kept and there was a lot of time wasting from the crew which was poorly organized by mixing your group with another. All the water sport members where rude and in a hurry and only providing decent enough long rides for selected few (Some women and people in some selected groups organised by other agents). Personally I was made to get in and get out of the jet skii even before my friend could open the phone camera. Now for the para sailing, all the crew was in a hurry and didn't make sure the straps were comfortable before take of. Moreover some couples in our group had to pay 400 extra to get a few more seconds in the air(that too was less than a minute with the extra cash).
For people looking for water sports and adventure s in the beach . In goa ,I suggest you go visit and see how the rides are (time given and hospitality) one day before booking. Make sure no details are missed while booking...
Read moreVery poor. They are cheating the customers in the name of adventure and unlimited fun. Rides are just 50 meter rounds. There is no thrill as what will you enjoy in 50 meter rides and that too just one round. Out of 9- 11 rides there are only 4-6 and limited. Scuba diving they charge extra Rs 200 for diver suit not mentioned in rates. Divers give good briefing but bidets recording is worst. Water is muddy/cloudy or I should say not clear. It's just a matter of 1-2 minutes they either take to deep dive if you insist or just make you float. Trick of trade, you feel pain in ears or panic. Food- There is nothing on buffet it's just on a paper plate with worst kind of food with limited portion. Snacks was just a miniature bun with chutney and tomato slice and plastic glass aerated beverage. Lunch they carry from morning in aluminum containers while boarding. Its rationed, and dispensed from the back side near smelly urinal cabin. Boat smells of urine and worst is they dispose off garbage in ocean. I strongly recommend government to take strict action as could see other boats also do the same. When objected to it they say it's food for fish. Either such water sports should be stopped or proper control over waste management should be regulated by govt or tourist in few years will stop coming due to pollution in sea like Mumbai. Goa Tourism, please take note of it and do something for good of Goa. It's...
