Calangute Beach Resort — Hotel in Goa

The resort/ hotel is still in the formative stage. Everywhere construction materials like sand, cement, steel rod, and wooden structures are littered. This hinders the normal and safe movement of tourists. At night there is no light in the compound where construction work is going on. One of my family member got hurt at dark. There was so far no swimming pool as per their claim. A newly constructed swimming pool is openly filled with dirty water where any child can fall accidentally as there is no safe fencing. The staffs never bother to make tourists aware of all these so that they can be cautious. I stayed in room no. 103 which has a broken window and is without any glass. Only a makeshift paper cover-up is temporarily made and covered with window curtain to disguise it from the inhabitants of the room. This is really a matter of deep concern of security and safety. Even the bathroom does not have a small hanging tray for keeping used soap, shampoo container, tooth paste tube and brush. The hotel staffs as a whole are callous and indifferent regarding all these serious issues. However, the room rents are exorbitantly high compared to the quality of the property and rooms as well as services. I requested in 1 day advance to arrange dry breakfast for early morning of 20.10.2023 as we were to visit Dudhsagar Water Falls and Other tourist spots. But the concerned staffs denied such arrangements although we made full advance payment for the breakfast. They even don't have the courtesy to offer a refund. Really a very disgusting experience in the resort. Hope not to return back any time in future. Not a value for money deal. There is no kitchen. First of all I want to say that ignore all the bad reviews, like hygiene issues, bed bug and all like that. I read these reviews after booking the resort and then called them if I can cancel it. But they denied to refund the booking amount. Believe me, that was a blessing in disguise. I would regret if I had cancelled it.

Pros: I booked one cottage. The cottage number was C4. And it was awesome. It was well maintained like new. No dirt here and there, not even in corners. The beach was about 1 min waking distance. Pool was regularly being cleaned. Breakfast was also good.

Cons: We had to carry in and out our luggages to the rooms. Nobody helped. Don't know its a cons or not but in other hotels they usually give this services. There will be no room service, atleast they didn't came on their own. One day I told them to swipe the floor and they did it without saying anything.

I can ignore above minor cons because of the property, rooms, pool, view, breakfast, waking distance from the beach and all.

Resort is near the beach but the cottage rent is highest and the guest of cottage is not having access of swimming pool In rooms there is cockroach, red ants, spiders and on request even they are not cleaning it properly. Room door was even broken, not closing automatically as shown on the site while booking.

You can see plastics, bottle and waste all over the property and around your cottage as well. No cleaning they are doing. Every alternate day you will face water issue while showering in morning.

No tea/coffe maker available in a room as mentioned in facilities of resort. Staff is too arogant, the parking watchman is handling booking of rooma from outside and also you can't even park you cycle near by your room even there is a space and that person is manner less and don't know how to talk with guest. In television many regular channels are not working. In between tv got off too often.
