Boho By The Beach — Hotel in Goa

Don't go by high ratings as published on the website as they might all be paid ratings. The photographs look appealing but its reality is grave. I had a terrible experience of one night stay with my joint family. Basic amenities like Fan, Washrooms, TV, AC were all outdated and maintained very poorly. The swimming pool is nothing but a huge bath tub. Can't even name it as Kids pool. They do not have inhouse restaurants but only a kitchen. Food needs to be ordered at least two hours in advance or you will go hungry unless the food is arranged by them from outside for which we need to pay more than the general cost of food. There are no nearby shops, food joints etc.. It is too interior from the main roads. The internal roads are roads of mud though the beach is not very far from the resort. The food though nice are priced like 3 star or 5 star hotels The room service staff are lazy and have a very laid back attitude. Too many reminders have to be given. Mineral water bottles of 500 ml are priced at a double price. So please carry your own mineral water bottles to reduce the overhead expenses. So though you pay ₹1999/- for your stay, you will end up paying at least 3 times more for your food, water, beverages, etc. Their business strategy is to make more money by other means. To give you an example, many similar configuration resorts at least have a hot water kettle, milk, coffee and tea pouches complimentary if anyone wants to make tea/coffee for themselves. Sorry to say, that these amenities are missing and you have to pay for tea or coffee by ordering it separately. The rooms are not very spacious. Washrooms stink if not attended to by the housekeeping guys regularly. An extra bed will make the room even more congested. If you really want to enjoy there are far more better resorts near Morjim beach with highly competitive rates though a little expensive but with lot of free amenities. If you really want value for money, BOHO will always be a wrong choice. If you do not want to have unpleasant holidays, think twice before investing here. The management staff keeps pestering before you even make those bookings. I would suggest that before you prebook this resort, have a surprise visit once before you pay 50% pre booking charges. Once you checkin there are no refunds and you will have to adjust and compromise on your stay. The resort is too compact and there are no great lawns or play areas for children. No jogging tracks nothing. There are frequent power-cuts. Generator is there as a temporary resort for power backup. Out of the 5 rooms we booked, only one room had zero issues. Other 4 rooms were terrible. The electronic appliances were repaired while we wanted to rest in our rooms thus causing a lot of inconvenience. We checked in at 12 pm but the rooms were ready to use only after 5 pm with multiple issues as highlighted above. Don't go by the fake professionalism showed by the staff there. I don't have a personal or professional grudge with Boho. I've tried to share my experience hoping that this review helps....

One line review -very poor service... Detailed- We came to know about it by reviews. So we decided to stay here for 5days. Good part: -Morjim beach is at walkable distance -Place is quite Bad part: -We observed power outage. They have generate but that intermittently goes off. -one night there was no water at all. Imagine! When informed there was no response. Next morning when I asked they said mistakenly while switching off something in below room it disconnected motor connection blah..blah.. on another day also intermittently water supply went off. Pathetic! -The room they gave us did not have TV and said it will be install shortly. They took 8hrs that too upon continuous reminder. Remote had dying batteries. Very limited channels -Swimming pool was in bad condition. It's very sticky things that we felt on the skin -Mosquitos. Even in day time -Breakfast they served was not hot. Upon telling them made it hot next day. -Room service was poor. They do not have intercom. We had to call on their mobile. It's very inconvenient. For simple request we had to call them multiple times. Very very poor experience. They was an owner or some nearby guest of theirs. All staff were following them. We had planned for 4n but after 2n we decided to leave and asked for refund. They denied.what they said that no refund policy and they will improve service. Hotel policy says assure good service and facilities which they are not providing and for refund they recall the hotel policies. Staff head was seemed laughing as we just stepped out from there. Ridiculous. We spend money and expect great service in return. We booked another place and saved spoiling...

We had the most wonderful stay at this resort, which is just a short walk from the serene Morjim Beach. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and well-kept grounds that create a peaceful, tropical atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The decor had a cozy, yet elegant touch, and the balcony overlooking the garden was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.

Room service was outstanding. The staff were quick, efficient, and the food quality exceeded my expectations. Whether it was breakfast in the room or a late-night snack, everything was served fresh, hot, and delicious. The in-room dining menu had a good variety, from local delicacies to international favorites.

What really stood out was the impeccable service from the resort’s staff. Every team member was courteous, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Special shout-out to the front desk team, who were always ready with recommendations for nearby attractions and helped us with transportation needs. Their hospitality truly made our stay feel like a home away from home.

Being so close to Morjim Beach was an added bonus – we could easily walk to the shore and enjoy the peaceful beach environment, far from the crowds.

All in all, I would highly recommend BOHO BY THE BEACH for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful, luxurious retreat with top-notch service. I can’t...
