I recently dined at a restaurant near Morjim Beach in Goa, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the location near the beach added a unique charm, the overall experience fell short of expectations in several areas.

Starting with the food, it was just okay. The menu had a decent variety, but nothing stood out in terms of taste or presentation. The dishes were passable, but for the high prices they charged, I expected much better quality and flavor. If food is your primary focus, there are definitely better options in Goa that offer more value for money.

The service, on the other hand, was good. The staff was polite, attentive, and ensured that orders were taken and served promptly. Their friendly demeanor added a positive note to the experience, making up for the average food quality to some extent.

The beach itself was a highlight. Morjim Beach is stunning, with clean sands and soothing waves, providing a peaceful escape from the more crowded beaches in Goa. The atmosphere felt dull and uninspired, lacking the lively and relaxed ambiance you would expect at a beachside eatery.

The lighting at night was another downside. It was poorly done, creating an unwelcoming and dim environment that did not feel cozy or inviting. Better lighting could significantly improve the nighttime dining experience and enhance the overall ambiance.

Being a Swedish party of two families with no previous experience of Goa or Morjim we had no idea what to expect but boy did the staff of Boom Shack deliver! Free sun beds, towels and Wifi making this a great stop with teenage kids. Very friendly and service minded staff, making their absolute best to give you great service and a relaxed day at the beach.

Ending up coming back day after day we enjoyed their facilities incl great Wifi. We tried most of their food selection, from local Indian dishes to western style food like pizza and nothing disappointed us, not even once as you also can decide spice-level by your own preference. Only got drinks. 2x bottled beers. Why one star? Because at the end when paying the bill, the guy in the fisherman hat who brought us in, inflated the price. He told us 450 but that didn’t seem right to my wife and I. We asked to see the menu again and he said that the prices on the menu haven’t been updated.
