Carolina guest house colva — Hotel in Goa

I had booked 3 nights at Adrose Cottages & Family Restaurant colva, and was planning to spend that time looking for a place where I was going to spend about one month in Goa. Shortly after booking, I was informed that the place had changed its name to Colva guesthouse Rajat. I see that now a place with exacty the same location is called Adrose Cotttages & Family Restaurant Colva. Notice the slight spelling difference. I suspect they do this in order to get rid of bad reviews. I am sure that the owner also owns "Beach maria guesthouse & Apartment Colva" since they are using the same pictures in the ad.

There were two things that were important to me when booking. Free WiFi, so I could look for other places. And A/C, so I would survive the nights.

When I arrived, I was looking for the reception. But I was quickly told that there wasn't one. Despite the fact that they advertised a 24-hour front desk. There was however a caretaker there who didn't speak English. Despite the fact that they advertise many languages, including English. The only way to comunicate with him was through very basic sentences using Google Translate.

I was also informed that they had no WiFi. But after an hour or so I was taken to a different place with the same owner, called Carolina Guesthouse. At that place they had WiFi in the rooms, but no A/C, so I decided to accept that. What I didn't notice was that while they had WiFi, the WiFi wasn't connected to the internet. And that would only be fixed the next day.

The room I got also smelled distinctly of hashish. So I guess that tells you what clientel they are catering to.

They were also advertising the following: Beach front, Private beach, View, ATM in the building, and hairdresser in the building. They had none of that. They didn't even have...

Very very worst stay near colva beach. Owner shayam panchal, This guy very rude and behaving worst ever. Actually we booked st.xaviers guest house- Colva beach. Owner sent all the pictures of rooms, In that picture room was very neat and clean, Looking new.So we paid advance.But after we visited room, It was very old very bad interior with insects.Owner asked and forced to cancel the @booking.com reservation.Beacuse of commission purpose, He force fully cancelled our reservation.He told we give u another guest house called - carolina guest house, We went there rooms was fine, We shifted here.

Entire night power flexivation, no bathroom lights and no blankets, no fan for entire night. at the time we called owner and informed this issues. He told we will come within 10 mins and we waitted for 1 hr, but he switched off the phone.

Next day we went and asked, He replied with - you guys have AC then y u need a fan like he speeking. He's telling what ever u can do, No one will ask me like wise he telling.

This cheater -shayam panchal owning three property name called - Xavier guest houst, samaira guest house and this one carolina guest house. this three property was have a worst rooms ever dont go here they will cheat.

Families , Friends group , couples - Not recommended.

Carolina guest house is at the Colva Beach 🏖️ very prime location 📍, your stay is surrounded by restaurant 🥝 Pure veg 💚 and Non-vegetarian 🍗 as well. There is a market at a walkable distance where you can go and do the shopping 🛍️. Further, it's just 200 meter away from the Colva Beach ⛱️. Yes, the way to reach this place is very narrow parking available for 2 wheeler whereas car etc needs to be parked outside other bunglow.

The stay was very good, the mattress was too soft so might not be suitable for everyone. The washroom 🚽 and shower 🚿 was clean and it's combined. It's good for a short stay 🛏️ or if you are looking for a near beach ⛱️ very cheap stay. The staff 🧑‍💼 is really helpful and good. They will clean the rooms every alternate day, even the host is very accommodating and very welcoming 🤗 . I'll definitely visit this place if I am visiting...
