September 2025: An Unforgettable Culinary Experience.

Red Ginger has truly turned things around — and how! What impressed us the most was how seriously the team took past feedback. It’s rare to see a restaurant not only acknowledge constructive criticism but also use it as fuel to deliver excellence. This time, they absolutely nailed it.

We placed a large takeaway order, and let me just say — not a single restaurant, near or far, could come close to what we experienced. Every dish was packed with flavor, freshness, and finesse.

We ordered:

Dragon Maki Dynamite Maki Philadelphia Roll Red Ginger Sesame Prawns Honey Chili Chicken Wonton Chicken Soup Stir-Fry Tenderloin in Black Pepper Sauce Crispy Calamari with Wasabi Jasmine Rice with Edamame Beans & Prawns Singapore Rice Noodles with Chicken

Each dish was a standout, but special shoutout to the sushi rolls — they were world-class. The sesame prawns and tenderloin were bursting with flavor, and the soup was deeply comforting.

To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with two complimentary desserts — the Matcha Cheesecake and the Great Wall of Chocolate Cake. Both were absolutely divine and the perfect end to an outstanding meal. Thank you, Red Ginger, for the thoughtful gesture!

The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and modern, with just the right mix of warmth and sophistication — perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. There’s ample parking available on either sides of the road outside the restaurant, which makes the whole experience hassle-free, especially in a busy area like the Colva beach road. As for pricing, it’s very fair considering the premium quality, generous portions, and overall service — absolutely value for money.

Manager Jovian deserves a special mention, he genuinely takes feedback to heart and goes out of his way to ensure every customer has a top-tier experience. And hats off to Chef Ujjal, the man has magic in his hands. You can taste the passion and precision in every bite.

I'm more than happy to change my rating from a 3 back to a solid 5 and honestly, i wish I could give them a 10. Red Ginger isn't just back on my list, it’s at the top and a destination in itself. ---------------------------------X------------------------- August 2025: this has been our go-to restaurant ever since we moved to Goa four plus years ago... being one of the best in town, we were sure to dine-in or takeaway at least once in a month, if not every other week.

It disheartens me to lower my earlier rating after experiencing inconsistency in the Quality of food over the past 6 months to a year, despite clear attempts made to both appreciate as well as raise concerns on the fluctuating food quality.

I cannot comprehend what might have gone wrong behind the scenes, for a renowned restaurant to deteriorate so quickly. Red Ginger once served the most delectable Asian cuisine in all of Goa. I presume that the decline in food quality could probably attribute to the lack of supervision or rotational duties of chefs or change of key business stakeholders.

We found quite a few dishes to be subpar... either chewy, dry or inconsistent. I can confidently say that I have tasted better Chinese at street joints.

Team Red Ginger...I request you to please deep dive into this matter and take necessary corrective actions. You are certainly up for some tough competition given the opening of some recently established restaurants in and around the colva benaulim area.

Red ginger has always been our favorite restaurant and is still a numero uno on our Swiggy's list. A decision to visit it was a letdown as our waiter definitely needs training. His body gesture was defensive (with folded hands) at all times. When taking the order for starters and beverages, he was insisting on taking the main course order even though we were early at the restaurant. We requested to give us 5 minutes for the same, only to receive our orders with plates being careless handled and order placed on a side table(an excellent idea) and not being served. Two other families across our tables also had the same experience and were pretty vocal about his service. After the bill was received at our table, and also after trying to draw his attention for the payment only to be told to wait with a raised palm 🤚, we decided to pay at the counter. Informed the counter about the waiter's etiquette and was told he was newly employed and they were apologetic. The boys were courteous at the counter. There was no manager or supervisor around to check on the same. Currently, we prefer to order from Swiggy's.

3rd June,2024. What an amazing experience I had on our return to Red Ginger after our service complaint. They have introduced a Mango related menu, the Avacado and mango salad, a perfect 11 out of 10. Rajesh, who was attending to us, was absolutely amazing. Just to come back and check if we needed a plate change, gives Red Ginger service an outstanding 👌 service 5/5 which was earlier a 2/5 which I had to definitely change. If anyone needs a good Asian gourmet in Goa, don't need to go to a 5 star, RED GINGER is an absolutely must goto place. It rates in the top 5 restaurants in Goa.
