D'Silva Residence — Hotel in Goa

We arrived to a lovely welcome and were shown to our room||||Room was spotlessly clean and was huge! Definitely no shortage of room space||||There was a large fridge freezer in the room which proved a godsend. D'Silva stock it up initially and you simply record how many you use and they top back up again. Pricing no higher than locally.||||Aircon unit in room was really good and was almost silent.||||Bed was very comfortable.||||Every member of the family we met were so friendly and exceptionally helpful. Alex (Dad) helped me out no end one vening. Due to location it is very far from shops for tobacco and I had lost a pouch. Not a problem...later that evening a kock on the door with new pouch.||||Alex also performs taxi role and his driving was excellent. We had been India for just under a month at this point and this was a rarity, a driver who didn't have his ear stuck to a mobile phone and kept eyes on the road - after 2 accidents in Mumbai due to driver this was such a welcome relief. Felt very safe in the car with Alex.||||Bus stop is right outside and is a 20rupee trip to Majroda.||||Little supermarket 5 mins away. Cash point is a small detraction. Nearest one that worked with Santander card was a good 30min away....however staff at Alex Beach Shack said they'd have given us a lift.||||Only slight disappointment was it said every room had a balcony. Not quite so. The room we were in had steps leading to it but definitely no balcony. ||That said we spent bulk of our time on the beach (10-15 mins walk) and by time we got back to room we were too tired to sit out.||||Excellent WIFI||||Plentiful hot water||||With stunning value, perfect location and a truly wonderful family we can't recommed D'Silva...

Have stayed here again, on 2 occasions, during the 2019/20 season, from 13th October to 10th December returning on 19th January till 2nd March.||||I am amazed that after all this time, staying at this family run Guest House is as good as it ever was, with very high standards.||||Our accommodation was cleaned every day and the bedding and towels changed every 2 days. Our mattress is so comfortable.||||Our room was equipped with fridge, kettle toaster, crockery & cutlery with a television and air conditioned. There was a secure drawer for valuables.||||Our balcony overlooks the main road, great place to sit in the morning, with a coffee, and watch the world go by. Also nice to sit in the evening with a nightcap.||||As always we were looked after so well by the Family. In December we were privileged to attend all the celebrations of a family members wedding, such hospitality over 4 days. During the celebrations there was a large marquee on the land front of the property The coconut trees were full of fairy lights, amazing.||||The accommodation is just a short walk down the road to the wonderful Gonsua Beach and our favourite beach shack, Lavina's.||||Will be back...

I run away from a very bad guesthouse booked from my country because it was grimy and stinky. Luckily I found this residence guest house. Price is honest rooms are preety beautiful. Spacious and well furnished, they also have a small kitchen, big sleeping room and enough spacious bathroom. I am a globe trotter and in all my travels I did not see a place so clean. Even 5 stars hotels does not give this clean service. The two ladies which make the room are fantastic they clean everywhere carefully and with energy. Linens and towels are perfumed and changed very often (towels every day and sheets each 2 days). All colors are matched to give more beauty to the rooms. Lavina that is the owner is very kind and helpful. Never stayed in a so clean and confortable guest house before. Congratulation to...
