Subject: Disappointing Stay at ITC Fortune resort
Overall, our experience at ITC fortune resort was exceptionally disappointing.
From the moment we arrived, we were met with a lackluster reception, where the staff seemed disinterested in welcoming guests.
The corridors resembled those of a hostel, and the rooms were surprisingly small, giving an overall cramped feel.
The bed size was notably inadequate for the price point, and the bathroom was disappointingly small, especially considering the premium charged.
Adding to the discomfort, the AC was mediocre, persistently making disruptive noises throughout the night.
Communication was another issue, as the phones in the rooms were non-functional, and there was no information on how to contact the reception or dining services.
For a significant price tag of 10k, the value for money felt far from satisfactory, particularly considering the reputed brand name of ITC.
Our visit to the restaurant was underwhelming, with narrow corridors resembling a colleague canteen rather than a reputable hotel.
We had initially requested a room with two separate beds, but upon our return in the evening, we were informed that such a room was unavailable, forcing us to compromise on our accommodation and then we had to go for a lot of two and fro and then we had to ask for our other guests to shift on the first floor.
The rooms were not only small but also poorly maintained, with unclean bathrooms and a very limited garden space.
Even during meals, the experience was subpar, and there was a surprising shortage of cutlery sets.
the buffet offered only a meager selection for the complementary breakfast.
In summary, our stay at ITC fortune resort fell far short of the expectations set by the brand. The reality did not align with the appealing images presented online, resulting in a regrettable and unsatisfactory experience.

Read moreThis new year we decided to spend a quality time with our 7 month old in goa. Fortune Resort was no doubt the best decision which we took for our holidays. It was a perfect place with all the amenities. Above all should definitely thank each and every staff member who were very cordial, gentle and available round the clock. Sometimes travelling with babies wouldn't work as expected. Our baby developed fever on the following day of our stay.Since we were new to the place we were clueless about the hospitals in South Goa. Instantly receptionist connected to the in-house doctor for queries. However, that night our babies temperature raised and we had to take her to hospital. Around 3.30am seeked the help of the receptionist and he immediately assisted us in every possible way. We are indebted to express our gratitude to him ( forgot his name in the chaos) and Mr. Shankar the manager who helped us by going out of his way at that odd hour of the day. He drove us to the hospital and ensured that the baby is taken good care of. The way he took care of us during those difficult times have etched in our hearts for lifetime. I'm sure everyone who is working in the resort ensured about the wellbeing and happiness of their customers.The resort had all the facilities and the people who work there from the reception desk to the higher grade officer happen to be very much sincere and dedicated in their work. They are a true assets to the resort. They add value to their customers through their services. Though our vacation ended up to be a staycation. With zero regret we left the city. Cause we had a perfect room with a view. The food was delicious and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of varieties to kick start the day with. Exploring the number of cuisines served and tasting them itself felt like a huge celebration. Everyone who worked in the restaurant ensured about the availability of food, and cleanliness amidst the huge crowd. They were very proactive. The end experience was good we were happy with the stay as the front house hotel manager Vincent made up for this and was excellent in handling everything. but it did not come without its problems. Because it may or may not have been the hotels fault. Unfortunately the first room we stayed in we found large bedbugs. My partner is highly allergic to them. So this was a major concern to us. We were glad we found them before we slept in the bed.
The night staff did not handle this well. They moved us to a older worse room and only sent one guy to help us move our luggage. We had to move most of the luggage ourselves and the new room had strange musky Smell from the a/c. But we did an endless check for bedbugs but nothing so we thought it was ok so we just went to sleep
I then spoke to Vincent the next day as we were too tired to argue anymore as it was coming into 1am. So when we spoke to Vincent we sat down with him, we actually got an apology for the first time. And he handle the situation properly and he upgraded our room as a good will gesture. Now the third room wAs excellent. No bedbugs after another through check. Very was actually perfect. I was impressed and felt very comfortable. Everything about the rest of the stay was great. No complaints what so ever.
