Hello I went to goa with my family on 13th august to 17th august 2023 to celebrate my baby’s first birthday
Our flight was supposed to depart at 5 30 from delhi airport and reach at 8 05 at dabolim So we decided to book a normal hotel i.e., Hotel Golden tulip for the arrival day and for the rest of the days we booked another hotel
Our stay at Golden Tulip candolim was our worst ever stay in GOA Although it was only for the night of 13th of august but it was the most terrible stay ever.
We checked in the hotel at around 9 30 pm at night After that at around 10 pm we ordered food from the hotel to which they told us sir our restaurant is closed u can order from our midnight menu
We agreed to that, but then there were no breads We placed the order and told them to please give us 2 3 breads(tandoori or tawa roti, prantha) as we had 2 infants with us to which the hotel staff refused
And then we told them to cancel the order they were like okay
Finally we then ordered from swiggy as we had no option left and told the hotel staff to give us plates. They took about an hour to get the plates and before getting the plates we received a call from them saying the plates will be charged at ₹ 100 per plate to which we were like what sort of a policy is this. U dont have to serve us food and if we are ordering from somewhere and just asking for plates u are even charging for that
On top of that even the chilled water bottle was chargeable
The staff in the hotel was terrible and pathetic with no manners and etiquettes at all We had to tell them everything at least thrice before the thing was completed Every thing took more than half and hour to be done
Also the worst part was the we paid ₹ 30k for this pathetic property as it was season time 13th and 14th august
Please refrain from even entering this property leave apart booking a stay Dont even enter this property ever The staff is rude and non cooperative
On the checkout day at 11 am i received a call from the reception saying that sir u need to empty 2 of the 3 rooms u booked as we have further reservations
By this they meant that the guests already staying werent important for them
I even told them give us some time we will empty the rooms by 1 as we have two infants with us and we are 7 adults
But they refused and then by 12 40 we emptied all the rooms. I havent seen so bad behaviour in any of the hotels i have stayed in ever.
Also when i told everything at the reception even then there was no response from them
Please please refrain from going to this property or else be ready to experience a nightmare
Better to book an AirBnb rather than this worst hotel
As we know first impression is the last impression and my first impression was the worst ever in goa

Furthermore, I must highlight the outstanding and friendly service provided by the hotel staff as a whole. From the warm welcome at check-in to prompt assistance with any queries or requests throughout my stay, the level of professionalism and attentiveness exceeded my expectations.
During my stay, I also had the pleasure of enjoying the well-appointed accommodation, delicious meals at the hotel's restaurant, and the picturesque surroundings of Goa. The overall ambiance and atmosphere of the hotel contributed significantly to my delightful experience.
Based on my experience, I would highly recommend the Golden Tulip Goa to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with exceptional amenities and excellent service.

Read moreA long-waited travel after a worldwide pandemic which has a mixed feelings of a bit of angst and joy of visiting Goa. We could not book the actual hotel(other one) we wanted but we managed to book this place from an external site as we got a decent discount. Although the reviews were a bit squeaky, we still decided to book this place in advance to avoid another miss. After booking we did not receive any confirmation nor updates from this place. On the day before of travel we called up the place and asked for a confirmation of small requests we made while booking. Since we were going to checkout early, we also took a confirmation of early check in, we were asked to come early. We reached early upon the confirmation, and it took them ~1 hour to complete their formalities. I had to make some noise to speed up things and the guy at the reception started telling me about the check in policy. When I asked him that the guy (with his name) confirmed and asked us to come early he had no answer. The location of the hotel is not on the beach, but it has huge area covered and has valet parking. The vendor attendants managing the valet parking were not that great either. Our room was an Imperial room which was spacious but not maintained. Walls in the room and bathroom were damped. We had to remind the housekeeping couple of times for towels and water. On the second day there was no room cleaning, but we saw a courteous note stating that DND was on (due to our mistake). But the next day even though there was no DND on they missed to clean the room (regular housekeeping) Buffet breakfast was limited to less items and South Indian food items in breakfast were not great. Swimming pool was very good. Although due to construction work one must take the route of Reception to go back to the room which was not very comfortable.
