Mosaic — Restaurant in Goa

We visited Mosaic by Country Inn on our wedding anniversary for a dinner buffet. The entire experience was a DISASTER. The manager was using the same serving spoon for veg. and non veg. food. On pointing that out, he was not accepting his behaviour. More things happened: Tomato soup served without butter and bread crumbs. On asking the staff for bread crumbs, they said that they don't serve it at their restaurant. No markings on veg & non veg. Food No eggless bakery item Buffet starts at 7:30, but there was nobody at the live counter

Tired and hungry, we asked the manager to call the F&B head. The f&b head apologised and said that he will ensure we are served properly. We agreed and sat for eating

We waited for 25 minutes for the live counter to start The salad section - well, you can see for yourself. They cannot differentiate between a pasta and a salad We were told that no pastries are eggless YET they have marked the mango pastry as GREEN

We were told that the person will himself serve us on the table, but guess what? Nobody served a damn thing and thank god they did not. Don't know what blunder they would have made in...

Even though the food they serve was good enough but overall experience made me give this 2 star review.. first there was a server who took our order.. the food was nice but the cocktail was not tasting like a cocktail.. so we asked server if they did add any alcohol in it.. he confirmed it and said there was 60 ml of alcohol.. anyone who drinks knows how a 60 ml feels in any alcohol so when we again called the server he sent someone else.. other one changed our drink even though it still was not great we didnt want to go through the hassle again so we drink it.. when i was coming from washroom i saw the first server coming out of kitchen and when he saw me he went again.. i mean thats not how u set and example of service in hotel industry.. i am too from the same industry so i know how it goes.. anyway, not a great experience to be honest in terms of service.. kitchen staff did...

We apprehensively visited Mosaic for a buffet dinner after reading negative reviews and seeing low ratings on many platforms.

However, our experience with the food, ambience and service was otherwise. We quite enjoyed the buffet spread put before us. There was a live paneer chilla counter, a few local Goan food options, 4-5 desserts and the usual soups, salads, sabji roti, Chinese, Pasta etc. They even served us Corn cheese balls at our table. The staff were quite helpful as well.

It may not be the best buffet spread one may have eaten but it's definitely not bad and quite value for money (more so with the Zomato pro option) especially for those who want to have a...
