Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Candolim, Goa: A Relaxing Retreat
My recent stay at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Candolim, Goa, from June 17 to June 21, was a delightful experience that encapsulated the essence of a rejuvenating coastal getaway.
Service: The service at Country Inn & Suites was impeccable. The staff were courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. I would like to extend special praise to Nayal, whom I met at the reception. While I am not sure of his exact designation, he is undoubtedly a great asset to the hotel. His warm and pleasant smile made us feel incredibly welcome. Nayal catered to all our requirements to the best of his abilities, making our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, when he learned about my wife's birthday, he arranged for a birthday cake and a sweet balloon decoration, which was a wonderful and thoughtful touch.
Accommodation: The room provided a perfect blend of comfort and functionality. It was spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring Goa’s attractions.
Facilities and Services: The hotel's facilities exceeded expectations. The pool area was clean and inviting, offering a refreshing dip under the Goan sun.
Location: Situated in Candolim, the hotel offered easy access to the vibrant nightlife and beautiful beaches of North Goa. This strategic location made it convenient to explore popular nearby attractions such as Fort Aguada and the bustling markets of Calangute.
Dining Experience: While the on-site restaurant offered a variety of options, I found the food to be average. The flavors and presentation were decent, but it didn't quite match the overall excellence of the other aspects of the hotel.
Spa Experience: The only disappointing experience was at the Tattva Spa. The rooms were small, the service was subpar, and the overall focus seemed to be on money-making rather than providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. It was absolutely disastrous and did not meet the standards set by the rest of the hotel.
Overall Experience: Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Candolim, Goa, provided a memorable experience that combined comfort, convenience, and excellent service. My four-day stay from June 17 to June 21 was wonderful, offering everything one could desire for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in North Goa.
Conclusion: I highly recommend Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Candolim, Goa, for anyone seeking a well-rounded accommodation experience in this vibrant coastal destination. The combination of comfortable rooms, great amenities, and exceptional service makes it a standout choice among hotels in North Goa. Improvements in the dining experience and significant changes in the Tattva Spa could make this hotel truly...
Read moreMy recent experience at this hotel has left me quite dissatisfied. Upon checking in, I was greeted with a rather unpleasant surprise – the entire floor was soaked due to an AC technical glitch. The bed itself felt chilly and damp, far from the comfortable setting I had hoped for. The staff informed me that the AC issue was prevalent throughout the property in Goa and urged me to manage in the room despite the inconvenience.
To make matters worse, I noticed the presence of fungal and mold growth on the curtains and cushions. The cushions were visibly unclean and hadn't been properly washed. Although my family and I made do until the following day, things took a turn for the worse when my mother woke up, only to slip and sustain bruises on her leg. My sister and I also faced several instances of slipping due to the persistently moist floor. As a result, our planned activities were severely hampered, and we ended up spending an inordinate amount of time managing these issues within the confines of our room.
When we approached the hotel staff about our concerns, they initially dismissed them. Eventually, they relented and asked us to wait several hours for a different room. When we were finally moved, the new room turned out to be smaller than the one I had booked and paid for. Adding to our woes, the door lock in the new room was malfunctioning. Maintenance personnel attempted to repair it while we were inside, which left us feeling quite inconvenienced and deprived of our privacy for the much-needed rest.
Furthermore, the couch in the new room was far from clean, adding to our overall disappointment. It's disheartening to think that this hotel holds a purported 5-star rating. What should have been a pleasant stay turned into an ordeal that cost me an entire day of my trip. Given the last-minute unavailability of alternative accommodations, I found myself forced to adjust to this situation.
I sincerely hope that the hotel management takes swift action to address these issues and rectify the situation. This experience falls short of the expectations one might have for a reputed establishment. It's my earnest wish that steps are taken to ensure that no other guest faces such inconveniences...
Read moreI’m shocked to see such a high rating for this property. This is by far the worst star hotel that I have ever stayed in. I booked because it has Radisson credentials and I’ve had wonderful stays in all radisson properties that I’ve stayed in. The rooms and small, the towels stink, the bathroom stinks, the restaurant stinks, there are roaches in the room and bathroom, the toiletries are partly available, the swimming pool floor is broken everywhere and can injure someone someday. The staff are rude, wouldn’t want to serve. Never even serve water without asking when you’re eating in their restaurant. This one time at the breakfast I happened to politely ask for tea as I was tired of getting food multiple times from the buffet and the very polite Mr. Bikash rudely showed me my place by informing me that it was self service. That ruined my entire day as I have stayed in almost every star hotel in different cities and have never got to hear this. I confronted another staff asking if this is really a radisson property to which he responded it’s only “by radisson”.
You can get a much better property at a much cheaper rate. And if you want a star hotel, add some extra bucks and book a better hotel. Good options around this are Hyatt Place, Lemon Tree Resorts, Novotel and Hyatt Centric, because booking this property is at best upgrading from Oyo.
I don’t know if people giving such high ratings came with low expectation or if it was actually good at one point of time. But I’d suggest not to go for it.
MMT advocating for this property is understandable as they might have a huge commission in place. Not sure why Google describes it a 5 star hotel - surely indicates why not to blindly rely on info furnished by Google.
The only thing good about this hotel is its reception staff who warmly...
