Monarch Palms — Hotel in Goa

This placed is highly rated on Booking.com, hence, we went ahead and made the booking. Rest all that I experienced was a sheer horror.

By the way we never stayed at this property, however, this review is about the gross misconduct of the property manager/owner.

Here it goes: We made booking for 15th March and suddenly we got a message after 10:00 pm that advance payment was required to be made within an hour.

By the time I read message next morning it was too late. I never received any call or further message regarding payment and I also got busy. I called them on 11 March to reconfirm the booking and I got to know that the booking had become INVALID. However, on booking.com, it continued to be active.

Moreover, i admitted that I did not make advance payment, as i missed out. Now the gentleman tells me that I need to make additional payment. I straightway called Booking.com and they called the manager to reconfirm my booking to me and they told me to call him and get link to make payment. When I called them again he said that my booking was INVALID. On booking.com it was still active though.

Now, he inflated the price once again and told me to make even higher payment outside of booking.com.

I called up booking.com once again and after to and fro with calling hotel, entire conversation took more than an hour, i was finally able to convince them to NOT CHARGE ME CANX FEE.

You see the problem here; i am not cancelling the booking. I want to stay there but property are asking me to make additional payment outside of agreed booking amount.

I understand I missed out making advance payment but then either the booking should have been cancelled by them or they should have honoured my booking at same fare.

I call it as UNFAIR BUSINESS tactics to fleece money out of...

It was an amazing stay at monarch palms. It was better than expectations actually. The care taker was amazingly helpful. Sorry I forgot his name😐. He will contact you via phone and escort you to the apartment when you reach the security place. The apartment almost has everything you need. It doesn't have a aqua guard but water is available. You can ask the care taker to bring the big 20L water canister. It doesn't have a washing machine but fortunately we did not need that. If you are traveling light, you may need it . It has electricity back up. It is a wholesome stay . You will like it. Another thing it has only one washroom for 2bhk. We were 4 people, it did not bother us much but plan according to your members. I think i have covered all the points. Yeah the caretaker does room servicing everyday. He even does the dishes. He is a nice guy. You can consider staying...

Had an excellent stay.It has all necessary ammenities.kitchen has all necessary crockery and electrical appliances.It was a big help for me as we were travelling for long days.Security is very good.Just outside the society,there is shop wherin one can book cab and two Wheeler.also telagu kitchen where you can buy great tasty chicken biryani and some brunch menus. Owners r very helping and nice. They provided us with a daily help who use to regularly clean the flat. Also provided us with contact number of cab driver for sight seeing.Walking distance from Candolim beach and commuting is not at all a problem.Very cosy and comfortable...
