I recently visited Chef Kamal Varma's restaurant, drawn in by the glowing reviews. However, my experience made me question their authenticity. It felt more like a trap than a dining opportunity.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including pizza, starters, fried rice, and biryani, but the service was abysmal. Our experience started with an outrageous wait time. It took 45 minutes just to get a watermelon juice for my child! We arrived at 2 PM and didn’t leave until 4:30 PM, having canceled several items due to the delays.

To make matters worse, the master chef himself was taking orders and somehow managed to mess them up. When I politely inquired about one of our delayed items, he responded rudely and dismissed our requests. His sarcastic remark about how long it takes to mix curd for raita was uncalled for. Instead of providing an estimated wait time, he suggested we order everything at once, which is impractical.

At the end of our meal, he offered a half-hearted apology for the delays, but it felt insincere and made no sense given the overall experience. A restaurant may not satisfy every customer, but there are some basic expectations that should be met. When a restaurant fails to meet those standards, it doesn't matter how renowned the chef is; it's simply not a good restaurant.

Adding to the disappointment, the rates were quite high and not at all worth the experience. For the quality of service and food we received, the prices felt excessive.

The ambiance also left much to be desired. It felt uninspired and didn’t match the expectations I had for a restaurant of this caliber. Even with only three tables occupied, the delays were unbearable, and the overall atmosphere didn’t make up for it. Other diners around us seemed equally frustrated, sharing the same experience of long waits and poor service.

The food itself was disappointing. I expected much more from a restaurant led by a master chef. The only redeeming factor was the watermelon juice—it was incredibly refreshing and delicious, despite the long wait.

In summary, if you’re considering dining here, be prepared for a long wait, subpar food, a lackluster atmosphere, and high prices that don’t deliver value. Save your time and money—there are better options out there, but do treat yourself to the watermelon juice if...

I, with a friend visited this place recently. The staff are soo friendly with us, I met Mr. Ajay he engaged us all the time we spent there like we have known each other very well. The master chef visited us and the other customers too asking if the food was good and if there is anyway he can improve to make it taate better. That was very cool that they actually take the customer suggestions directly.

So, my rating for Hospitality is 6/5*. Seriously, my experience was beyond expectations and I'm more than happy to visit them again.

The ambience is pleasant ans well maintained, with the location of the restaurant by the beach, a complete bar and the musical nights too are available here, with outdoor seating. My rating for Ambience is 5/5.

Coming to the food, I had Cheese prawn balls, when I heard the name I expected them too cheesy especially inside, but was disappointed to find out they just put the cheese over the prawns balls. The quantity of cheese they used to okayish but if they cooked it with the prawns marinated with cheese it will taste the best. The Fish Vindaloo and the butter rice they served made me vitness the pure Goan cuisine. It was the best I have had in Goa till now.

We also ordered Sashi Chicken Dum Biryani, the quantity, the appearance or decoration and the way a Biryani is cooked is great but there's something lacking in it when it comes to aroma and taste. We realised that we should have skipped the Biryani and try something from the seafood since the restaurant ia famous for Goan, Portugese, Thai cuisines. My experience with food was not that impressive during thia visit so it would like to rate it 3/5* and 2/5 for Biryani.

The prices seems to be quite high for such a casually maintained place with no air-conditioning. For certain items it was too high and my rating for the price is 3/5

Most of the items in the menu are not available at the restaurant as they said it was off season. So we couldn't try many things and had an average experience. But if one visiting here in prime times would definitely enjoy the day. Though my overall experience is 3.5* and its not worth a 4, I'm leaving 3/5 in Zomato, but I strongly recommend this place for someone who would definitely like trying...

Certainly! Here's a review for Spicy Bella Restaurant:

Name: Spicy Bella Restaurant

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Spicy Bella Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. This establishment offers a delightful fusion of flavors that truly impressed me.

The ambiance at Spicy Bella is warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a pleasant dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in.

Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Spicy Bella specializes in a variety of spicy dishes that pack a punch of flavor. I'm a fan of spicy cuisine, and I was not disappointed. The menu offers a wide range of options, from mild to extremely spicy, catering to different palates.

We tried the [mention a specific dish or two you enjoyed] and were blown away by the bold and authentic flavors. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, and you can tell that the chefs pay great attention to detail.

While the spicy dishes were a highlight, Spicy Bella also offers non-spicy options, ensuring that there's something for everyone. The balance of flavors in each dish is commendable.

The only slight downside was that the service, while friendly, could be a bit faster during peak hours. However, the quality of the food more than made up for this minor inconvenience.

In summary, Spicy Bella Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys bold, flavorful, and spicy cuisine. It's a fantastic place to explore new tastes and enjoy a memorable meal. I'll certainly be returning to try more of their delicious offerings.

Overall...

From the outside, Spicy Bella might look like any other Italian restaurant in town. But trust me, the service that you will experience is like no other restaurant. We were in awe by the hospitality provided by Chef Verma. At first, we got confused by the selection of Pastas on the menu. But the chef spent time explaining every little detail about the types of pasta and the sauces it would come with. We ordered almost all the pasta dishes listed in the menu. The service was a tad bit slow, but that is understandable because of the size of our order. The server accidentally bought the wrong order at first, but chef Verma was kind enough to put that on the house. Highly recommended if you are in an around Calangute. Tripadvisor bought me here as it was the highest-rated Italian restaurant in Goa. But when we reached there we saw that their menu was much more extensive. Would love to go back and try other cuisines the chef has to offer.

If you’re looking for a restaurant in Goa that delivers not just amazing food but also a truly memorable dining experience, Spicy Bella is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Master Chef Kamal, who proved to be an outstanding host. His passion for food was evident as he took the time to explain each dish in detail, offering insightful tips on flavors and pairings. His personal touch truly elevated the experience. The food? Simply delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with authentic flavors, showcasing the expertise of the kitchen team. And to top it all off, we enjoyed two exquisite mojitos, handcrafted by Kamal himself—refreshing, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to our meal. If you’re in Goa and looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, Spicy Bella is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
