Read moreAmazing stay in Goa, returned two days back. I have stayed in this hotel 10years back, it was amazing. Loved my stay then and honestly loved my stay now as well. Well, 10 years is a long time for things to go bad or good from their current state. However, this hotel has maintained some of the good aspects. It is run by Beacon group now, who are trying to bring this up after the pandemic. Pandemic hit hospitality industry to the maxim. La paz garden is a good three star hotel, I became nostalgic when I stayed here this time. Standard rooms are ok with all the amenities. I had booked standard room for a very good price given by Rutva- Front office and sales person. However the room had some challenges and was upgraded to executive premier. That room also had a few point which I highlighted to Vincent and he immediately gave me a suite room. So in my four days stay, I changed four rooms in first two days, but no complaints. Point is they considered my challenge and immediately addressed those issues. Food is good and hygienic. Breakfast buffet is somewhat same however few things will be changed on the menu. I loved the food and variety for dinner. This hotel is very near from the airport and Vasco station. Plenty of car rental companies are here, choose wisely. I really enjoyed my stay here and was looks after really well. They had scheduled a pick up from the airport for a reasonable price. I will Highly recommend this hotel for warm and hospitable stay; Comfortable 4-5 days stay. Vincent, Rutva ams the Tall man - forgot his name are very good and will ensure your stay is very good. Large swimming pool to keep you soaked in any season. Colva beach 16-17 kms and 45 mins drive ..GO FOR THIS HOTEL … it is...
Read moreI am in love with place for so many years now. Long back, I was based in Vasco City and back then I used to see this place every day on my way to school. This place was luxury and the best you can get in the late 1980s ...yeh ! So, this place was aspiration was so many of us. Of-course there was one more place much better and that is what we know as Bogmolo Beach Resort. La-Paz was the best and the only hotel in the city. Several years later, I happened to stay here again just to relive those old memories. And with my latest experience, I must say even now, I am still love this place. The internal decor is well done (of course, its not contemporary, but it still has a beautiful old world charm). The rooms are not very huge but very comfortable. Some of the windows look out in to the main Vasco street. Two old Portuguese parks close by add to the charm. You can also spot a few old Portuguese bungalows. Both the restaurants at La-Paz are great and but I would recommend 'Sweet & Sour'. The cuisine seems to be designed for westerners and you will definitely not find it spicy and its not Goan either. A lot of foreign tourist seem to love the the food at this place. The 'Harbor Bar' is not there anymore and I was not able to find any place for nightlife around. You can arrive early before check-in time. If you want to try nice Goan food, then you have a place called 'Anantashram' just behind the hotel. To hire a bike, you can try 'OK Travels' which is near the station square. To get to Bogmolo Beach, go to the bus station near Vasco market (walk able from La-Paz). For a nice evening do visit St Andrews church square. Also do recommend a visit to...
