We had a week at this resort. The hotel is quite a distance walking to beaches and restaurants. Although it is next door to Martins Corner restaurant owned by the same brothers.||There is a great pool at the resort. But bearing in mind the intensity of the sun you would expect umbrella shades by the sunbeds, we asked and were told they didn't have any. Our room was booked as deluxe with Aircon,. It was very dated. Furniture old and scratched, dust inches thick in places and the air on Sounded like a pneumatic drill when on and was so old it was held together by tape everywhere. We asked to move room and get the deluxe we paid for and we're told we could have a deluxe room in 3 hours. We waited and were given our new room. My husband went to the room and was horrified to see the male cleaner trying to get drains out of the sheets with a wet cloth and was expecting us to sleep on the previous occupants sheets ( where in the world do you have a hotel room and as keep on old dirty sheets used by the previous visitor).||The room was in even worse repair than the previous one and we were very annoyed that this was the case and even angrier that they tried to get us to sleep on dirty sheets. ||We once again rejected the room and I told them I wanted one of the 4 new rooms they had at the hotel. We were given this room which on the face of it was Much better. But then they had to move the main bed to get a child bed in the room and when they did this it exposed total filth on the floor, it was disgusting. Moving on to breakfast this was terrible food and terrible service. Unfriendly unprofessional staff who could even cook an egg properly, stale cereal. And a thing called umpi which was just stodgy rice. Totally inedible. I would advise looking elsewhere for accommodation. This really is not up to scratch. It seems the owners are only concerned with their restaurant over the Rd and do not care about the hotel. Really bad experience |||||||| by the same brothers.||There is a great pool at the resort. Read moreMartins comfort is just an ok place. This place used to be good few years back but somehow it has detoriated over the years. It’s is basic bed and breakfast place and encashes a lot due to Martins corner restaurant services. I suggest keep this place as a last option. This is not that great a place as the furnitures and fixtures are coming out. The room that I was given had a leaking faucet. Other rooms had fan and Air conditioning issues was really appalling. In this hot weather how do you expect a guest to sleep without proper air conditioning. Pool is a small sized pool. Breakfast spread is fixed, and we get same menu everyday. Tasteless food and the staffs are always looking sad. In customer service, one should be smiling always but here staffs are down and out. Two complimentary water bottles every day above that you will Be charged.. ridiculous. They are really adamant in checking out by 11:00 am. As and when they feel they will ask you to pay for the late check out. On the day of arrival I said I will check out late on Tuesday, that time they just said if we do not have bookings they will allow a late check out. They could have at that time itself said that ‘subject to availability of rooms and a fee of Rs 500’ we can allow a late check out. I got very angry on the lady who on the day of check out told me that I will have to pay Rs 500 for late checkout. I checked out by 12:00 pm and spent Rs 500+ for a good lunch at Camron restaurant nearby. Pratap and Sooraj are the front office people. Suraj told me I can check out late a night before but never mentioned a late check out fees. So You can imagine!!! Staffs are not very customer friendly esxpecially in the restaurant. Only highlight for Martins comfort is its private parking and the Famous - Martins Corner restaurant. Food at Martins Corner - some of the dishes are really good and some are not. Seriously overhyped and overpriced restaurant . Been there since 2016 whenever I went to Goa. Pratap gave me a gyan that nothing comes for free when I asked for a late check out over the phone on the day of check out. I travel around the globe and I know how things work in the hospitality industry. Easily hotels accommodate if there are no bookings for a late check out without a fee.Honestly, do not stay here .. there is nothing great about this place and not a value for your money even if it not high tariff hotel. You can get better hotels in the same vicinity. Will always stick to my favourite ‘Beleza by the beach’ if staying in South Goa in the future. My entire five days trip got screwed up coz of martins comfort. One advice - Keep communication clear at the onset. And give your staffs training on soft skills, customer service. … No More Goa for next 4-5 years though I travel to Goa practically every year.. wastage of time and money having stayed at...
