My husband and I had booked this hotel from 15-01-25 to 19-01-25. From the very first day, we had a terrible experience. We were searching for a hotel named Golden Apartment Studio, but after a lot of effort, we found out that the actual name of the hotel was Renuka Holiday Inn. This caused us a lot of inconvenience as all the confirmation emails mentioned only the name Golden Apartment Studio, and the correct name was not provided anywhere. Additionally, no contact number was shared with us.
Our bad experience started right after check-in. While booking, it was mentioned that the hotel provides free Wi-Fi, a TV, a fridge, and parking facilities. However, the TV was not functional because the recharge had not been done. Despite repeatedly informing them, they didn’t recharge it. The Wi-Fi connection was also problematic.
The person in charge, Mr. Bhandari, was extremely rude, arrogant, and lacked basic manners. The staff was equally unprofessional, and there was no privacy, as they would enter the room without knocking. Although the room was spacious, it was not clean at all. The bedsheets and blankets were filthy, and room cleaning was not done. The shower had hot water, but the toilet was unclean, and there were cockroaches in the room.
Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this...
Read moreRenuka Holiday Inn in Candolim/Calangute is a solid budget option if you want to stay close to the beach without breaking the bank. The location is quite good — it’s near Candolim Beach, and many restaurants and shops are within walking or short driving distance. The hotel is relatively clean, rooms are of reasonable size, and most amenities like air conditioning, TV, and housekeeping are in place.
What stands out is the value for money. For its pricing, the property offers more than expected — basic but comfortable stay, clean bedding, decent room interiors, friendly staff. Guests often mention the view and quiet surroundings as positives.
On the downside, there are a few areas for improvement: some reviews say the services are slow at times, breakfast is very average, and the payment mode is mostly cash in many cases. Also, internet/Wi-Fi service seems weak or non-existent in some rooms.
Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, simple, no-frills stay near the beach and your expectations are modest, Renuka Holiday Inn is a decent choice. Not a luxury hotel, but good for travellers who want comfort + location + affordability. Highly recommended for...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Renuka Holiday Inn near Candolim. I stayed for 3 days, and not only was the room poorly maintained, but my Amazfit Pop 3S Bluetooth Calling Smart Watch was stolen during my stay.
The person named Bhandari, who seems to be the owner/manager, clearly knows what happened but still denies it. Instead of helping, he just kept saying, "We don’t have your watch." I strongly suspect he is involved in this activity, as he showed no concern or willingness to investigate the matter.
This hotel is highly unsafe—not just for the theft but also because I noticed child workers being used as staff, which is completely illegal and unethical. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and shady.
I strongly advise against staying here. If you value your belongings, safety, and a decent experience, stay away...
